Hello, I am a 17 year old highschool junior. I
play football, but I am not too good-- not good enough to play in
college.
Somebody emailed this site to a bunch of people at
my school. I found it interesting because it spoke about the
taboo subject of race in sports; and not from the socially more
acceptible point of view that blacks are superior(although it has been
my experiance that this statement is considered politically incorrect
to utter, e.g., Air Force coach, Entine, and Jimmy the Greek(just read
about him)). This site actually argues that white athletes face
discrimination.
Anyway, I wonder about the reasons for
discriminating against whites. Why would owners and coaches
take the game away from the fans? I don't know, but I have
noticed a major trend.
America has its ideals. A house, a husband and
wife, a boy and a girl, and a pet. I noticed the old images; that
the husband used to work in a factory, or was an engineer. Now you have Peyton
Manning cheering for "Innsurance Adjusters" and Divorce lawyer's advertising in between games. There was also the
All American boy. He played sports.
Anyway, this would take a long time to say, but the
"attack" on white football players is probably just part of a much
larger assault on traditional American , Norman Rockwell, ideals.
