Malkin is one of the top players in the NHL. He's very streaky though, including in the playoffs. Maybe he's been more consistent this season as I haven't been able to watch the Penguins as they are rarely on TV here except in the playoffs. With Sidney Crosby back and healthy (at least for now), the Pens have a decent shot of winning the Cup for the second time in four years.

Malkin without doubt the star of the gold medal winning Russian national side. They've just defeated Slovakia in the final with Malkin scoring the final goal. He scored a hat-trick in the semi-final against Finland and another hat-trick against Sweden.
