Here is the latest list from the European Top Young Sprinters. All of these guys are under 23.It is actually quite impressive how many guys from 19-23 are performing as well as most of the senior sprinters we root for.The future looks bright. The kid from Bulgaria just ran a 10.28 into a negative wind and he's only 20!Good news for the future.Let's see how these kids progress over the next several years.

Christian Blum is one of the guys to watch. He has 10.39 speed in the 100 and 21.00 flat over the deuce. He is still so young and very raw. With training, his times should really improve dramatically.Germany is finally getting alot of youth that are in the 10.3 to 10.4 range which is a great starting point.I think Christian will get into the 10.30's this summer. He is another one of many to watch.Let's get excited about the future and support these kids.

well it is a very depressing list. It has gotten worse over the past 20 years not better.

We need to stay optomistic. Most sprinters develop at different rates.I have seen kids in high school who ran a 10.1 to a 10.2 and never got faster over the next decade. Then I've seen a 10.4 to 10.5 kid continue to get better.Everyone develops at their own rate.Don't give up on these kids just yet.I think that would be a mistake.
