Eastern Washington's Red Field

Today on Pardon the Interruption for once they discussed something interesting to me. Eastern Washington,a D1aa team(FCS), has a proposal for an all red playing field.The idea is inspired by Boise State's BlueTurf. I do not know whether or not I am for the Red turf, but if the goal was to draw attention to their team, this was the right move.

CB15, I'm usually not one for gimmicks in sports, but the red field would be kind of unique. They ought to name it the "sea (or field) of blood".

The field will be unique as long as every school doesn't jump on the idea. If Georgia Tech gets an all yellow playing field, or Clemson gets an all orange playing field,etc. I feel it will take away from the overall atmosphere and get old fast.Edited by: celticdb15
