Is it just me or does anybody else expect RCSMAN to respond sometime with "I fart in your general direction!" and "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!" ?

I'm no track guy so maybe my eyes are different than yours? Who knows? Themaster has small torso and legs like a giraffe, He's built like Bolt. He starts slow but when he finally gets his rig in top gear he puts the peddle down and continues to accelerate right through the finish. But how can he go faster. If he added a complete stride and increased his frequency from the start he'd cover more ground and shave his time down to match the PED boys.

But how does he do that? Whatever he's doing it seems like its the same old same old? Not working.
Why doesn't he make himself a training suit that weighs 15-20 pounds and practice his starts with it on?
Why doesn't he break down the movements of a start to do specific training methods that improve those movements?
Why doesn't he watch his runs at micro speed and correct all the form flaws -like why not tilt head backwards slightly like Bolt does while at top speed?
Why not get pulled by a vehicle on sand that forces his frequency higher to keep balance?

Look, I know a lot about boxing and Lomachenko, the most technical boxer alive- trains the way I did and the way I coach by trying everything imaginable to get better. Maybe he is trying everything, I don't know?

A short answer to you. No Christophe Lemaitre has not tried everything. He is with the same coach who is in his lates 70's to 80's and the guy is old school. Coach Carraz is an average coach in my opinion. His training methods are mostly outdated. Christophe hasn't progressed time wise in around 5 years. That is complete bullsh**. Any elite coach would have taken him to far higher levels. Lemaitre is very shy though and only feels comfortable in his home town with the coach that got him there. So it's sad but unlikely that he will ever get faster. He has already wasted most of his prime years. I hope I'm wrong. I would love to see what a different coach could do with new & improved training methods. I doubt we will ever ses this happen.

Regardless I hope he returns to form this year. I get so excited to see him run. Maybe somehow this summer will be different!

Christophe is trained by the best track coach ever ,Master Pierre Caraz , and he has run 9.8 and 19.6 in training. You all are just ignorant xenophobes. It will come you shall see!

I agree, I am ignorant, as I really don't know anything of Lemaitre's training. I don't know why you wrote xenophobe though? I don't even know who Pierre Caraz is.

LOL! I was being sarcastic. I was not calling you ignorant or xenophobic directly, I was emulating a 'Character' named RCSMAN who posts here and defends Lemaitre's failure of a coach, Pierre Caraz, to no end, even after 5 years of regression. You will know RCSMAN sooner or later.

After the indoor season, Christophe started again tough training sessions in the beginning of the last week.
He could be, but it’s not sure, on the training camp in Dijon, with Rhône-Alpes league, at the end of March. However, he’ll be in a training camp in Tenerife (Canary Islands) for eight days in April (8 to 16). A week under the sun, with his coach Pierre Carraz and his teammates Pierre-Alexis Pessonneaux and Elijah Mensah.
“I feel strong during training sessions, I think my level improves but I have to show that in competition”, explains Christophe.
His first outdoor race, this year, is always scheduled for the Interclubs 1st round, in Grenoble, the 8th of May.
About his indoor season, Christophe says: “I made good times on 200 m. On 60 m, I ran once under 6″60 but I expected better results.”

Lemaitre makes a very good point in saying, "but I have to show that in competition”.
Because it doesn't matter what he does in training, it only matters what he does in competition.
Yet inn my mind, Lemaitre takes the easy route when it comes to competition.
He does not, and has not, competed against high level competition often enough.
And it's more of the same this year. He opens his season at the French Interclubs meet.
That's club level competition.
No other world class sprinter competes at these low-level meets except Lemaitre.
It's a waste of time, and it's taking the easy road.
He needs to put himself against top competition consistently, so that he is used to it, and not intimidated by top level sprinters.
Running against French club level sprinters is not doing him any good.

Lmfao! The same article posted every year: intense training, progress in training yada yada yada...I'm certain caraz tells Lemaitre he runs fast in training only so Lemaitre doesn't think he needs to leave him. Caraz is a two face liar and only concerned about himself! What happen to lauarance bily?/why has she not have more sessions? I bet she saw the flaws of caraz amateur methods and he put a stop to it! Scumbag!

Vicaut is better trained so he can compete in any meet he likes. Lemaitre regressed 5+ years, and has been brainwashed by Sith Lord Carraz. Unfair comparison.

Tests in the World Cycling Center to run faster

Christophe Lemaitre was in Aigle (Switzerland) last Sunday, in the World Cycling Center. The French hasn’t decided to change of sport. But he made a battery of tests: sprints over 30 meters, on the starting blocks or rolling starts. “With sensors to measure the speed meter per second, or when the legs are on the ground”, explains Christophe. He worked during two hours. He also made vertical jumps, without his arms as support.
The goal is to run faster next summer. “We’ll know when I’m stronger and I’m weaker over 30 meters. We’ll get the keys to improve my performance. With results of these tests, I think I can shave hundredths of a second”.
