So what we are facing here is a direct result of an open door immigration policy twinned with the dangerous doctrine of multi-culturalism
NEW evidence has emerged of the way the white British feel increasingly alienated from the nation they used to regard as home.
Almost one in three white people in this country now believe they have been the victims of racial prejudice.
Among them are those who feel they have been passed over for promotion because of their race, and others who believe they have been turned down for a new job because of their colour.
Now, surely among these millions of individuals will be the bitter and disappointed who are seeking a reason to justify their own failings.
But we cannot simply ignore these worrying figures.
To begin with they are official Government statistics.
And they tell us that 29 per cent of the white population feels this way.
And 17 million people can't all be embittered losers.
