I recently raised this topic on philadelphiaeagles.com as race was brought
up this week by Donovan McNabb in regard to two black quarterbacks
facing each other in the NFCCG.

My topic was titled "Breaking the Color Barrier" and raised the point of
there being no white cornerbacks in the NFL.

Moments later I was banned from the msg boards even though i had
never been warned before in 5 years as a dedicated community member.
I have not even received a reason for why i have been banned.

That is what led me to this site and i applaud your efforts here.
Stereotyping is wrong whether it affects Blacks or Whites or anyone else
for that matter. There is no reason that white people cant play
cornerback except for the fact that PoP Warner, High School and College
decision makers harbor a bias.

Welcome, Swampscrapper. I believe your experience is widespread on message boards.

Caste Football is getting mentioned on more message boards of late. Usually the first reaction is for intolerant posters who are always proclaiming "tolerance" to gang up on whoever posted our link, or for the board's admin to delete the link.

We're about advocating fair opportunity for everyone, as no one is saying blacks should be systematically discriminated against in sports, but to even do that is often condemned as "racism" and "white supremacy." Unfortunately, America is filled with well-meaning but ignorant people.

Where is freedom of speech. You made an
unbiased observation and faced persecution(although a very small amount
of persecution)

I think the kneejerk reaction to my post would get a response like I did
and they are missing the point. The point I raised is not politically correct
and it certainly brings out the racism in others. But if you really look at
my point it is strongly against stereotyping in general.

I think a lot of people have a hard time understanding it because they
have been inundated with the message of racism against African
Americans. My point comes off as racist because it offers an
uncomfortable but honest insight on the institutional stereotyping
phenomenon that is happening.

Comments like, the reason there are no White cornerbacks is 'because
Black athletes have an extra muscle in their legs" or "Blacks have more
speed than Whites" were spouted off after I posted. This is not what
moderators want to see on their board.

I've seen this, too. I have this hysterical picture of the coach splitting the
team in to groups.

"Ok thin black kids over here. You are WR's and CB's. Fat black kids over
there, you are defensive linemen. Fat white kids go with the offensive line
coach. Thin white kids...I only need one to play QB, the rest go home and
play hockey. And where's that foreign kid? I need a kicker."

you don't have freedom of speech on a message board.

I think anyone does on this one, because we are all open-minded people who share our honest opinions. Honesty is what so many people fear, because sometimes it hides an ugly truth, which in this case is that coaches do perpetuate the myth of black dominance at certain positions. Forget the Eagles board swampscrapper, let them find out the truth for themselves. That's the only way they will stand a chance of changing their minds. maybe then they will acknowledge the bias and speak out against it like you did. welcome to Caste Football!
