The 4 fastest were white.

Wow, all four white guys under the 44 second mark. That is sweet and Wariner is back!

Fastest 400m time in the world (indoors) 46.03, was set yesterday by 23 yr old Claudio Licciardello at the Italian championships.
Matteo Galvan (20 yr old) was 2nd in 46.26.

British championships were won by Richard Buck in 46.22.
There is a lot of fresh young talent coming up in the 400m.

Ben Offerins of Australia set a PB with a time of 45.32 in Australia yesterday. Another young talent in the 400m. :)

What a performance. Thanks for the update jacknyc. We have really made huge strides in this event over the last decade. It's amazing how one sprinter(Wariner)can have such an impact to inspire guys from around the world.

Freaking great leg! That's one fast Aussie. And Roe isn't exactly a slowpoke on the fourth leg.

At the time of running his PB was 45.69, his split time was 44.78.

He has now lowered his PB to 45.32 but it is still early in our season.

Clemens Zeller just set an Austrian National record with a time of 45.69.
I want to see all the European 400m guys taking down their times and run super fast times at the Euro Championships this year.

Unfortunately Rooney has been running 'just ok' so far this year. HIs best is 45.45.
Nothing to indicate that he will break the British record. I hope he can improve a lot in the next 6 weeks.Edited by: jacknyc
