White Men Can't Jump so we are told yet it's another false stereotype and it's not true. The highest vertical leap at the 2024 NBA Combine
was from Reed Sheppard of Kentucky who left school after only his freshman year!

2024 NBA Draft Combine: Reed Sheppard, Zach Edey among biggest stock-risers
The 2024 NBA Draft Combine has wrapped up its competitive portion of the week, which saw several household names make themselves a lot of moneywww.cbssports.com
(1) Reed Sheppard, Kentucky: 42 inches
Very surprised by Sheppard's 42 inch vertical. He has not flashed this ability so far in his career. Some were comparing him to Rex Chapman.White Men Can't Jump so we are told yet it's another false stereotype and it's not true. The highest vertical leap at the 2024 NBA Combine

Bronny garners bets to be top pick in NBA draft
Bronny James, son of Lakers star LeBron James, is attracting bets across multiple sportsbooks to be the No. 1 pick in next month's NBA draft.www.espn.com
Exactly. These are gullible fools being lead by misleading ESPN headlines (the only outlet I see pushing Bronny 24/7). Any reports that following scouting seem to conclude he’s a 2nd round talent who may be picked a bit higher to woo the balding BLM activist. Why any team would waste a high pick, just to sign an aged star on his last legs, is beyond me. But it would be funny to see a failing franchise do something incredibly dumb.A way to Get the DWFs to waste their gambling money.
I agree CS, I didn't see that ability to explode to the basket either. I hope he was just trying to play under control.Very surprised by Sheppard's 42 inch vertical. He has not flashed this ability so far in his career. Some were comparing him to Rex Chapman.
Rex was very aggressive with his leaping ability, but I haven't seen that yet with Sheppard. He needs to be more aggressive when he has a fast break, he needs to throw it down with authority instead of being passive with a lay up!
Sheppard is obviously a great player, but it's not enough to just be fundamentality sound and passive. He needs to be more aggressive. Especially at the NBA level!!
Thanks for the write up Freethinker!Getting further into the draft process now, its a little more clear which guys are being considered draft possibilities. The number of White prospects are significantly better than last year, which is why I'm excited enough to even follow along. Here's a list of guys after reading through a number of mocks.
Reed Sheppard, Kentucky - lottery pick (could go 2 or 3)
Dalton Knecht, Tennessee - lottery pick (5-10 range)
Matas Buzelis, G League - lottery pick (5-10 range)
Donovan Clingan, UConn - lottery pick (back end)
Nikola Topic, Serbia - lottery pick / mid 1st (injury causing his stock to fall)
Kyle Filipowski, Duke - Mid 1st
Johnny Furphy, Kansas - Mid to late 1st
Tyler Kolek, Marquette - mid to late 1st
Zach Edey, Purdue - mid 1st to early 2nd (hardest guy to predict as I see as high as 12th to early 2nd round)
Baylor Scheierman, Creighton - late 1st to early 2nd (rising due to excellent combine)
PJ Hall, Clemson - early 2nd
Cam Spencer, UConn - early to mid 2nd
Nikola Djurisic, Serbia - mid 2nd
Pelle Larsson, Arizona - mid to late 2nd
Juan Nunez, Spain - late 2nd
For sh1ts, Bronny James seems to be mocked to the Lakers consistently in the late 2nd round. On talent, even that is a reach, but no where close to the absurd predictions of #1 overall (a scam so DWFs can place losing bets).
Nice! Matas has good length and hops. To quote the late Bill Walton, “throw it down big man”. I can see why he’s predicted to go top 10.
