Since '05, Virginia has started 4, 8, 8, 8, 9, 8, 10 an 9 whites from 2005-2012. They started 7 in 2014, 9 in 2015, and 7 in 2016. Bronco Mendenhall, coming off a brutal 2-10 first season with the Cavaliers, was one of the most white-friendly coaches in the nation during his duration at BYU. In just his second year at UVA, his recruiting practices have not yet changed the demographics of the team and the Cavaliers will start just 6 white players in 2017.
