Since 2006, Texas has started 7, 6, 8, 9, 8, 5, 6, 7, 6, 6 and 6. This year it will once again be 6.

The Longhorns start a new chapter after canning Charlie Strong following three straight losing seasons. Unfortunately, Tom Herman was a huge caste whore at Houston so this isn't much of a benefit.

Unfortunately, there has been some attrition on the Texas roster. WR Jake Oliver, who worked into a starting role last season, forewent his final season of eligibility to enter pursue a career outside football. Projected starting TE Andrew Beck is out for the season with a broken foot, although he has two white players replacing him. LB Breckyn Hager who was second on the team in tackles last year apparently remains in a rotational role and is not listed as a starter. He was a second team all conference DE last season.

Offense -
QB - Shane Buechele
TE - Garrett Gray
LT - Connor Williams
C - Zach Shackelford
RG - Jake McMillon
RT - Tristan Nickelson

Defense -
None

Notable back ups include QB Sam Ehlinger, TE Cade Brewer, LT J.P. Urquidez, and LB Breckyn Hager.
