Since 2013 Arizona has started 8, 7, 7, and 7 white players under head coach Rich Rodriguez. This year they jump up to 9. RichRod sure does love his black quarterbacks, in fact his son is the only white QB on the four-deep at the position - on a positive not, Rodriguez has always had a respectable number of white players on defense and has never shy'd away from having them at the WR position either.

Slot receiver Tony Ellison finally gets his opportunity to start in 2017; hopefully the uber shifty WR makes a very meaningful impact. 6'4" WR Zach Benjamin, a RS-Senior transfer from South Florida had a big off-season by all accounts, with many projecting him as a starter. However, he was absent from the official depth chart and I could not find any reports of him suffering an injury - although there are rumors that he may have run into an NCAA eligibility issue over his transfer. If any users have any inside info on the matter it would be greatly appreciated, this guy is too talented to not see the field.

True freshman Colin Schooler - whose brother Brendan started at CB and later S last year for the Oregon Ducks as a true freshman as well - has already cracked the starting line up. He is batting senior Brandon Rutt for the starting position. DE Justin Belhnap and DT Parker Zellers are the veteran starters along the defensive line. There is some good white depth along the DL, in the form of seniors DE Jack Banda and NT Luca Bruno. DT Finton Connolly, a sophomore, is the back up nose tackle.
