Here are your white starters for the UAB Blazers this year. Since 2005, UAB has started 5, 3, 5, 5, 5, 6, 2, and 7 whites. Look for UAB’s white starters to increase again this year, up to 8!! This is a nice surprise to see. Last year’s TE, Nolen Smith has been moved out to WR this year, and Soph. QB Austin Brown, who’s said to have the best arm on the team, and he took control of the job last year with some great performances. Some white reserves to look for include: TE Grant Davis, G Jon Hix, C Dominic Sylvester, DE Steven Pickren, and DT Jose Casanova. Surprisingly, I’ll be cheering for this team this year as most likely one of the whiter teams in the too black Conference USA.
