Since 2006 LSU has started 7, 6, 4, 5, 5, 4 & 6 last season...this year a few jobs are still up for grabs in Summer camp...so the conservative estimate could be 6...it could only be 5 if 6'-7" 343 OG Josh Williford is unable to come back from a concussion...

The O-Line has become noticeably darker...the trade off is there will actually be two white starters on defense(first time since 07'). Many dwf's have been surprised D.J. Welter(ineligible last season/academics) jumped into the starting role MLB position & has been able to fend off all challenges/no other LB's sliding over. 6'-6" stud D-End Jordan Allen season was cut short early last year due to knee injury...has been waiting in the wings behind 3 NFL drat picks...looks to wreck havoc against the SEC!

Besides Vanderbilt...not sure if another SEC starts even just two whites on defense like LSU will...surprisingly this is more than teams like Nebraska

A third player on defense to watch for will be the #3 D-Tackle...true freshman Christian LaCouture (6'-5" 298) who has been very impressive since his early Spring arrival...he will make an impact & looks to be a future starter!

Others to watch...FB-Connor Neighbors; TE-Logan Stokes(JUCO-transfer); Fr-OT Andy Dodd; RB-Jonathan Juneau 5'-11" 198 (walk-on/RS Fr) who might get some garbage carries in late blow out games?

OLB-Luke Muncie started 4 games last season; had to give up football due to some type of stomach ailment...

*OFFENSE*
QB-Zach Mettenberger
TE-Travis Dickson....(in a fight for position)
OG-Josh Williford...(multiple concussions/career in doubt)
C- Ethan Pocic...(in a fight for the position/6'-7" true freshman)

*DEFENSE*
DE- Jordan Allen
MLB-D.J. Welter
