Somehow Locksley is still the head coach. From CFN<div></div><div>The 2009 Lobos went 1-11, head coach Mike Locksley was a part of an incident
with an assistant coach and was suspended for a game, and the team didn't do
anything on the field. That team finished 103rd in the nation in total offense,
100th in total defense, and came up with its lone win by two points at home late
in the year against Colorado State. </font>
</font></div><div>New Mexico will have 7 whitesin 2011. They could have 8 if you consider Brett Kenedy white. Not bad considering they have Locksley the slime ball as a coach. I'm also assuming Holbrook will be able to hold off the two afflete black quarterbacks. Messina has potential as a pro prospect and former walk-on Bubba Forrest has proven he has what it takes to play D1 football. Still New Mexico starts way to many thugs. 3 sumos and several starters named "Deshon" with several different spellings. Best case scenario is that Locksley is fired early in the season. Most of the white guys starting probably weren't recuited by him..

Check out this "scouting" by the CFN writer. In love with this black players upside.<div></div><div>Junior Ty Kirk has been one of the Mountain West's most
athletic receivers for the last few years, staring on the track team as a triple
jumper and long jumper, while also leading the football team last season with 38
catches for 477 yards and two scores. At 6-1 and 181 pounds he has good size and
is a phenomenal athlete, but he hasn't been consistent with too many mediocre
games for a No. 1 target. With his experience and tools he needs to be more of a
dangerous deep threat.
</font></div><div></font></div><div>My take: 6'1 181 is not great size! For godsakes that close to Jeff Maehls size who is 3 times the receiver this guywill ever be. When they say he hasn't beenconsistent, they mean to say he has hands of butter. They list him as the top Lobo prospecton offense for 2011..</font></div><div></font></div><div></font></div>

Another affirmative action hire Locksley is. They wouldn't want to be "too hasty" in their jettisoning of him or else that might be given the dreaded "ray-ciss" label.

Hopefully he'll be gone and New Mexico will learn something from their mistake in hiring him and get a decent White coach who will recruit and play more Whites. I won't hold my breath though.
