Close shave for Chiara andfellow white teammate. Note that Paul has been moved from TB to S this spring. I wonder why?
<STRONG _extended="true">SYRACUSE, N.Y. â€â€￾ Two Syracuse University football players are accused of breaking into an equipment room.[/b]
Police arrested Paul Chiara and Mikhail Marinovich and charged them with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, following the break-in at Manley Field House early Sunday morning.
The 22-year-old Chiara is a senior from Mountain Lakes, N.J. He has played tailback but is being moved to safety for spring practice. The 20-year-old Marinovich is a freshman from San Clemente, Calif. He played last fall at Milford Academy, a prep school in New Berlin, N.Y. and enrolled at Syracuse in January.
Police say the players were drunk when they were chased down and arrested. They were released on appearance tickets.
Coach Greg Robinson issued a statement saying the matter will be handled internally.

two thoughts when i read this...

1. i think its good that when white fball players get busted doing something stupid it ends up to be a drunken prank. which they shouldnt be doing but lets face it. if the y were black ghetto fball players they would have probably raped some girl or at the very least beat up/jumped some poor guy at a local bar.

2. i really hope this is mikhail's last run in with the cops. he should know better after how far his brother todd fell. i hope for their parents sake this kid doesnt end up like todd.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Syracuse's top receiver Mike Williams was suspended for academic reasons and is no longer enrolled at the school.

Sue Edson, assistant athletics director for communications, said Tuesday that Williams was not enrolled. Coach Greg Robinson would not elaborate, citing privacy laws.

Williams practiced with the team in the spring and completed the spring semester. He was entering his junior year.

Williams, a second-team All-Big East Conference selection, had 10 touchdowns last season for the Orange (2-10).
