Steve Nash is amazing.He sure doesn't play like he is 31 years of age.He is leading the NBA in assists and has the Suns on fire.Steve is the key to the team leading the
NBA in scoring.He is relentless.It's too bad he left Dallas but I enjoy watching him regardless.Kidd and Marbury tried to take the Suns to the Championship but to
no avail.I think Nash has a great chance to do this.He is
also one of the best shooters in the country and usually battles Peja for the free throw percentage championship.

It's an interesting racial dynamic over there in
Phoenix. I think people in the media are comfortable
with him now that he's surrounded by athletic blacks.
In Dallas, he was criticized for being unathletic and a
defensive liability. Now he's praised for being a
great leader. He's the same player he was then, but
the perception changes. Regardless, he's very
talented and has made the team much, much better.

The Suns just keep on winning as Nash leads the NBA in assists.It's funny because the Sonics have a point guard that is very similar by the name of Luke Ridnour.Luke has
helped lead the Sonics to the second best record in the NBA with his accurate shooting and pin point passing.I
think alot of other teams will begin to give more John
Stockton types a chance.Too many point guards these days are all about scoring and don't make their team better.

through the first quarter of the nba season which doesn't mean much nash is undoubtedly the MVP. did they make the playoffs last year? now they have the best record in the west but all i hear is lebron this lebron that. give this man the respect that he deserves.

With almost a month till the All Star Game,the Suns are
still on fire.Everyone keeps waiting for them to slip up
but they get better every night.They are now 29-4!All I
can say is wow.Steve Nash is one of the most amazing
play makers ever.He looks like Stockton in his prime.He
is blowing by everyone.He makes it so easy for all of his
teammates to score.He has to be the number one favorite
for MVP at this point of the season.

Steve Nash together with his best bud, Dirk Nowitzki, are hands down the two BEST WHITE PLAYERS of this DECADE, and of their GENERATION.

Like what I said about Nowitzki, Steve Nash may be the last White dude to average 10-12 assists for an ENTIRE SEASON. That won't happen again for another 20-40 YEARS.

So either enjoy or hate him too while he's still around.

Nash too has earned his place in NBA HISTORY. He together with Nowitzki may also be the last two white players ever to win the NBA MVP award. That will not happen again for a VERY, VERY, VERY LONG TIME. Later.

Let's Look at RECENT NBA History:

It took 19 years (1986-2005) before another white dude (NASH) won the NBA MVP AWARD, it took 11 years (1992-2003) before another white dude (DIRK) scored 2,000 points in season.

It's been 13 years (1995-present) since a white dude (TOM CHAMBERS) had 20,000+ career points, 14 years (1994-present) since a white dude (BILL LAIMBEER) had 10,000 career rebounds.

John Stockton is the only white PG with 8,000-9,000+ career assists (he has 15,000+ of course). It's been 30 (1978-present) years since a white dude (PETE MARAVICH) LED the NBA in SCORING. And it's been 20 years (1988-present) since a white dude (LARRY BIRD) averaged 30 PPG.
in a season. Stockton is the most recent white dude with 10 ALL-STAR Game appearances.

I hope NASH can make 8,000-9,000 career assists, make at least 2 more ALL-STAR Game appearances (not with CHRIS PAUL around now), and win an NBA Title too.

I hope most of all, that another white dude, if not SEVERAL MORE will come along in such SHORT NOTICE to carry on the NEW SUCCESS FOR NBA WHITES set by DIRK 'n NASH.

The NBA has to be 45-45-10 in proportion of Black players, White players, and ASIAN PLAYERS.

Not many will be aware of this, but in the 61 year history of the NBA (1947-2008), only TWO white players have achieved 7,000+ assists, Steve Nash, and JOHN STOCKTON!

Nash led Phoenix to a 107-97 victory over the slumping Pistons.

Iverson's complement to Steve Nash:
"Who's been down on Steve Nash?" Detroit's Allen Iverson asked. "He's definitely an All-Star and he's still playing like an MVP."

I wish more white commentators would do the same thing for Nash.

Steve Nash now has 7,229 career assists, that 10th in the All-Time list, over taking Lenny Wilkens' 7,211.

Steve Nash is making a strong statement for next season. Nash, together with Dirk are two players I'm really proud of, two best white players of this decade, their generation, and among the best ever in NBA history.

Simple, the Knicks have a poor record, and Duhon is only now enjoying a break-out year. His numbers aren't even All-Star worthy yet. But, he's really good otherwise. He makes David Lee look good and vice versa. The same way Steve Nash makes Stoudamire look good.Edited by: j41181

Agreed Duhon\Lee combo will be one to watch for next year. Now if the Knicks would only acknowledge these two as their main guys and build a team around them, they might have some success. Something tells me this wont happen and they will try bringing in a star and F*** up chemistry once again. Gallinari also should have more of a role next year.

That's so true, celticb15, no matter how impressive David Lee's progress is, he isn't viewed at this point as a cornerstone player. In fact, he's more of a potential trade bait. Gallinari will get playing time in most cases, but really big playing (like 30-40 minutes), not anytime soon, that may include next season.

I agree that Duhon is a solid player and it would make sense to build the tema around him and Lee, was just pointing out that Nash was a very god player BEFORE he joined the Suns and D'Antoni is still an excellent point guard.

Steve Nash has played brilliant in his last 4 games:

29 points, 10 assists vs. Miami
32 points, 13 assists vs. Houston
23 points, 11 assists vs. San Antonio
23 points, 13 assists vs. Dallas

Sadly, Phoenix lost all 4 games, they are in grave danger of missing the playoffs, if they do though, it will make Steve Kerr's Shaq-Trade a dismal failure. I have never liked that trade, Kerr is an idiot for General Manager.

Shame though for Steve Nash, may he continue playing well in the foreseeable future.

Another reason to smile for Steve Nash:

6 straight 20+ point games, which happens to be his 6 most recent games.

Phoenix though, went 1-5 in those 6 games.

I agree, j41181. Loved Steve Kerr as a player, but he has made one bad move after another as GM.

Steve Nash is as pure a point guard as you will see and (as someone who has played the position in HS and as a walk on in college) he is a joy to watch.

Phoenix won 118-114 against Utah. Nash just overtook Maurice Cheeks (7,391) in the All-Time assists charts. Nash has 7,398 career assists now, that's 9th in the All-Time charts.

Nash is also the 2nd best ever FT% wise, at 0.900 accuracy. Mark Price is the only one ahead of him. What an amazing player Steve Nash is. I am incredibly annoyed that the press does not give more attention to career milestones made by players like Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki.

Whenever Lebron James, does something amazing, it's headlines all over the world.

The Suns though lost 126-118 to the Kings. I honestly feel bad for Nash not making the playoffs. But this maybe a blessing in disguise, because it will make the Suns management look really bad, while Nash overall is having another solid season under his belt.
