Scouting from where to where? From HS to College, from College to the NFL? Scouting for white players seems to end at the HS level!

However, during the time I was active in recruiting, the number of blacks to whites going to camps, combines etc. was overwhelmingly DARK. There didn't seem to be nearly as much participation from white players as blacks.

I believe there's at least 3 things, and I'm sure there's others, that hold white players back as far as getting to College from HS.

CS I guess I was referring to HS to college scouting. You make a good point about the lack of whites at camp. Could it be because they have to pay their own way there while the black players do not?!

Troy Aikman just became my favorite commentator.

Damarius Thomas has more yards in this game than the rest of this seasons games combined. Aikman was man enough to state the obvious. "Its because Welker is back on the field for the Broncos. He really spreads out a defense, and opens up the big play for his teammates".

Well done Troy. Keep on telling the truth until you get instructions in your earpiece to lay off the Welker praise.

Yes, that's definitely another possibility, however, even white players get breaks in pricing for camps! My son did.

Since this subject can get lengthy in discussion, I would like to maybe start a thread with the experiences I had in the recruiting process.

What do ya'll think?

I would like to share my experience with CF as to what my son encountered in the recruiting process, however, I was advised one time not to do this for it might hurt my son down the road if anyone made the connection to me with CF as no one really knows anyone here.

However, I would like to in some way help the younger guys here, if I can, when it comes time for them to bring their son through the process.

If ya'll think it's a good idea, I'll get my thoughts together and start the thread when I can. As I said, it's very complicated and can get lengthy, but it would make for a good thread, I think.

Geno Smiff with another interception. Will he fumble or throw another INT? He is usually good for two turnovers a game.

Jets down 21-0, Geno Smiff 3-9 for 19 yards so far.

I can already guess Rex "Jabba the Hut" Ryan's response after the game:

"Geno is our quarterback. I feel real good about Geno Smith."

Geno Smith is not good and this was clear since last year. Put Derek Carr or Blake Bortles or Mike Glennon on the Jets and they would immediately become a better team.

..and he throws an impossible TD pass to bring AZ back to within 4. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm now rooting for Carson Palmer to return as soon as possible.

What a weak effort defensively by Broncos on that Thomas pass. Media is getting ready anoint him as the next messiah for black QBs.

It was a lucky throw. Not to worried about him, he was given every chance in college and all he did was regress. Arians drafting him was pretty baffling though.

Hoyer and Austin Davis were both undrafted and put up dominant numbers this week. It's amazing how much better white QBs are at the position. A big game from Cousins tomorrow would be great as well.
