"Superstar" tailback LaDainion Tomlinson has 10 carries for 18 yards right now and was held out of the endzone from the 1 yard line. Meanwhile Jacob Hester can't get a single carry.

This is the same situation as with Hillis, although not quite as clear cut racial discrimination, or as infuriating.

Will Danny Woodhead get a single carry next week, if Shaun Green runs for under 2 YPC and fumbles again as the second back? At least with Brian Leonard, Cedric Benson is playing well- and Leonard gets some receptions and an occasional carry as the #2 HB.

Packers are soft on the O'line and special teams (need Hall back), and maybe the receivers are not making the best out of their routes because it seems Rogers either cannot see an open receiver or they cannot beat the coverage. Sabby had his number called out in a good way today, run support and being in place in coverage from what I heard on the radio. Of course the Packers had breakdowns in coverage when it counted. Kampman got his bell rung, and Poppinga substituted but with no effectiveness. Matt G. should get a look at being in the rotation considering what passed for play in the secondary where they put Woodson back in the safety position to shore it up. Matt also had a hand on a punt today, and from what I did see the returns were away from him, and those returns broke the Pack's back. And they need Jordy back, and McCarthy needs to work on the 3 step dropback rythym passing game.

Woodhead would be the perfect backup to Jones like Washington was. Jones tires the defense out, as he is known to run very hard, then bring Woodhead in to make defenders miss and make them gasp for air trying to catch him.

How about Dallas Clark. The guy is the best tightend in the game period. No disrespect to any of the other guys but he plays like a wide receiver. He just makes plays week after week. Can you imagine if you somehow led the nfl in receiving. That would be cool to see a t.e. win the receiving title.

Welker had another good game. I still think he will make 1000 yards for the season.

I'm with TJR. Jacob Hester is getting screwed as bad as any running back ever. LT is not what he used to be and Sproles should be a change of pace back. Hester could be a starting running back if given the chance. He tore it up in preseason a while back.

Woodhead may never see the field. They fear how good he is. I know that sounds stupid but fast white guys with moves are not allowed to be showcased. It disproves the myth!

The "analysts" on Sunday Night Football did not seem too happy about Dallas Clark's 14 catches. Dan Patrick kept asking over and over how that could possibly be.

Houston really tightened up on defense in the second half or else Clark might have broken the single game record for receptions. Cushing played like a beast the entire game.

I was glad to see the Colts win but also to see Houston come back and nearly win in Indy. Walter made some key receptions in the 4th quarter. The Texans have a shot at one of the two AFC wildcard spots.

Speaking of receiving TEs, even though Chicago sucked it up Greg Olsen scored all 3 TDs for the Bears. Urban was targeted once with no catches for the Cardinals.

Tomlinson is clearly finished, and he is a real drag on the Chargers' offense right now. This was obvious during the preseason before the ankle injury on opening day. However, this is the kind of situation that separates the great coaches from the average coaches. Belichik, Parcells, or even Shanahan wouldn't think twice about benching Tomlinson and giving someone else the carries. Turner, who doesn't have that kind of control over the locker room, can't just deep six LT, particularly in favor of white tailback. He just doesn't have the stomach to make that call. Thus, the Chargers will end up a disappointing seaon because their running game stinks and defenses will be teeing off with the pass rush, forcing Rivers into bad throws, bad sacks, etc.

San Diego almost jettisoned Tomlinson a couple of seasons ago, but LT did a lot of public pouting and they backed off and kept him and let Michael Turner leave as a free agent instead. Obviously a bad decision. But from a CF perspective, if Hester ever gets a chance to be a starting tailback (about a hundred to one shot given his race), he's better off with Turner gone and Tomlinson near the end.

Joey Porter talked trash all week about the Patriots and held 0 sacks 0 tackles. Denied by the Patriots line. At one point in the game they showed Joey Porter's name on the jumbotron and his stat line and then showed a picture of Porter pouting.
