Head Coach Mike Zimmer is entering his 4th season as Vikings HC. The Vikings finished 8-8 in 2016. Realistically, the Vikings have a good chance to finish 11-5.

On Offense, QB Sam Bradford was able to take advantage of Teddy Bridgewater going on IR. Bradford had arguably his best season in the NFL in 2016, finishing with 3,877 passing yards for 20 TD's and only 5 ints. He also had the 6th best passer rating in the league. Despite the DWF's talking about Bridgewater's return late in the season, Sam Bradford is clearly better and should keep his job for the foreseeable future! Case Keenum will start the season as the N0. 2 QB, and Bridgewater's return shouldn't matter.

WR Adam Thielen was arguably our breakthrough guy of the 2016 season. He finally got a chance last year and he proved himself by grabbing 69 balls for 967 yards and 5 TD's. He enters the 2017 season listed as the Vikings N0. 2 WR! Starting TE, Kyle Rudolph had his best season in 2016 posting 83 rec for 840 yds and 7 TD's! Both back-up TE's are white. TE David Morgan listed at No. 2, but he's more of a blocking TE. Former college QB Blake Bell has just been picked off the 49'ers waivers, and is listed as the no. 3 TE.
At Offensive Line, the Vikings will have an all-white O-line this year! LT Riley Reiff should be the star of this OL. Always nice to see Rookies start, C Pat Elfein the 3rd rounder form Ohio St. will start.

On Defense, the Vikings look to have one of the whiter D's in the NFL, not saying much. At DE, the black Danielle Hunter has jumped veteran DE Brian Robison as starter. Robison now the no. 2 LDE, should still plenty of snaps and start some as a rotation D-lineman. Not much depth at LB, but 4th round Michigan Rookie Ben Gedeon is listed as the starting Weak-side LB!
At Safety, the Vikings have possibly the only starting tandem of white Safeties in the NFL!
FS Harrison Smith is arguably the best white Safety in the NFL, Eric Weddle being the other in question. Smith graded as the 12th best Safety in the league in 2016, which I believe should be higher. SS Andrew Sendejo, is a very reliable, athletic SS. He will return as starter in 2017! Starters in bold.

Here's the latest on Sam Bradford. With a healthy Bradford the Vikings have a chance at a very good season and Adam Thielen should be a cinch for well over 1,000 receiving yards; without Bradford the team will struggle.

Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Bradford (knee) just had swelling and discomfort from taking a shot to his knee, and he could return in Week 3, according NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. His status will depend on how he responds to treatment.
