    Lachlan Kennedy 6.43, 10.00 and 20.26

so he must put a lot of force onto the ground very quickly - I notice Joshua Azzopardi who finishes second isn't as skilled in that regard. His turnover looks obviously slower. Perhaps it's one of those "you have i or you don't" things

BTW White Lightning, this was the last in depth news article I read about Browning and it was 7 months ago. Everything has been quite since then. https://www.smh.com.au/sport/athletics/a-mountain-to-climb-the-pre-games-strategy-that-backfired-on-australia-s-fastest-man-20240803-p5jz75.html#

here's the women's race. They are peaking nicely. Bree may get that Australian record in decent legal conditions in a month. Her background is a beach sprinter

that's a great clip. Bruce McAvaney is a commentator who researches all his sports impeccably (Australian Football is his specialty). He's 72 now and you can hear he has maintained his enthusiasm. I'd love to have an hour long coffee with him. And Nina Kennedy (no relation to Lachlan) is being...

Appledoorn always promises much and delivers. Those top European ladies are always great to watch - nobody consistently beats the others so it's all "on the night" ..... Kambundji, Patrizia Van der Weken, (tats) Swoboda. and often a few who aren't far away and may have improved this season...

I was looking today for information about him on google for this year - NOTHING! and he has no race results recorded at all. If he does compete he'll certainly have his work cut out for him with our new keen youngsters. The Sydney track challenge is on Saturday 15th - I'd better check the...

Strange report. He didn't "hold off" people, he ran past them after a moderate start.

    Lachlan Kennedy 6.43, 10.00 and 20.26

that new 10.03 together with his 6.43 (1.6) certainly warrant a dedicated page. While we often mention athletes in isolation with occasional good performances that give us hope for future success, that success is often less than we'd anticipated. Let's see what Kennedy can do. He's a bit full...

and he's around 27 I believe so been around for some time - a good example to young athletes who are disenchanted when the first few years in Open Age make them either more tough or make them give up. I hope Jack Hale is rewarded this year for his patience in enduring a tough 2 to 3 years

S and Sultana's 19. I feel confident we have enough depth to go sub 38 in international 4 x 100 relays now. At least 2 of our young 200m guys are great bend runners for the team, as is the returning to form Jack Hale

I agree. That's what killed Shirvington .... every race going in with expectations of a sub 10 just made him a tighter runner. It's mostly the Australian press that causes it. If we had a few sub 10ers around they might cease burdening young male sprinters with their own expectations

I can see a relay time coming down into the 37s really soon if Hale comes back into the team healthy. If you find some of our Aussie men relay runs on youtube you'll see he's a great bend runner comparable to almost anyone out there

well, here's hoping. Yep, it's Jack Hale back running well again - after some difficult years he has some spring back. This last weekend he won this Gift handicap 120m race from the back mark - on grass, slightly uphill, 12.21 easing up. Those in the know reckon he's got a track 10.10 in him...

Tiaan Whelpton, back in NZ today after his little jaunt to Australia to run 60m races had his first 100m hit out of the season. The result was 10.10 (+2.0) and he's now number 2 NZ all-time only .02 away from the record. He should comfortably lower this soon if he can stay healthy. Liam...
