news from rotoworld:
Updating a previous item, Adam Schefter is reporting that Chris Cooley (fractured ankle) may play again in as soon as four weeks.
Cooley confirmed via his Twitter account that he had three pins inserted and hopes to be back in four weeks. He visited a foot specialist...
it was confirmed, Ryan stated he is moving him back to RB since they need a 3rd down back. Jones and Greene are very similar, as i stated before, they are interchangeable. what Washington used to bring, they can find in Danny. and that's needed in the mix.
Per ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Ted Ginn will see reduced playing time going forward.
Ginn is back in Bill Parcells' doghouse, and Mort says that if the trade deadline had been tomorrow instead of last week, the Fins would have been dialing up the Ravens to dump him off on the man that drafted...
from rotoworld:
Danny Woodhead will serve as the Jets' third-down back with Leon Washington (leg) out for the season.
Rookie Shonn Greene is not a good enough pass-catcher to fill that role. Woodhead was a training camp darling that was signed to the active roster as a wide receiver last...
i don't get why Cable still starts him (and he will start the next game, have no doubts about it). even Raiders fans were raising hell in comments blow te aforementioned article. it's ain't JaMarcus' fault y'all! hahahha
Chiefs receiver Lance Long played extensively in Sunday's loss to San Diego, seeing five targets.
The Chiefs started in a two-wide set with Bobby Wade at flanker and Dwayne Bowe at split end, but Long appears to be pushing for the third wideout job. He had two grabs for 12 yards, while Mark...
from rotoworld, bad news for Brett Swain:
McCarthy also revealed that fifth receiver Brett Swain needs year-ending knee surgery. Finley could also miss Week 9. The biggest beneficiary of his loss may be third wideout James Jones, who figures to play more and see increased targets on passing...
i gotta say, Hartline is pretty fast but Camarillo looked slow on a couple of catches. i think he's still feeling his lingering injury effects, hopefully he will shake it off soon.
Owen is really eating into Kevin's grabs. with Johnson, Daniels, Slaton and occasional toss to Anderson or Jacoby/Dreesen, there's only so many balls to go around. Andre Johnson might be out next game with a rib injury, so hopefully things will pick up for KW.
btw this just in from rotoworld:
Leon Washington was carted off the first in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Raiders with a lower leg injury.
The extent of Leon's injury is unknown, but he appeared to be in significant pain and was quickly ruled out for the remaining three...
ooh, some interesting commentary straight away after a beautiful long run by Danny:
"it can't get much worse for Raiders, if they are going to start giving away long runs to Danny Woodhead"... the way he said it was just so insulting to Danny, who looked amazing in this aforementioned carry...
damn, nice catch by Hartline, too bad they caught him from behind just before he scored. still, 64 yards or so!
btw f**k you White Noise, Danny got a carry!Edited by: backrow
Offense
RUNNINGBACKS:
Brian Leonard, RB Bengals: IA, INJ
Peyton Hillis, FB Broncos: BYE
Dan Kreider, FB Cardinals: NSA
Jacob Hester, RB Chargers: 3 carries for 8 yards, also scored a TD falling on a ball in the end zone after they blocked a punt.
Mike Cox, FB Chiefs: NSA...
Staford looks very white, outside of one receiver and the backup black RB they really are THE team. McGaha also looks good, he almost made an incredible one handed catch earlier on.
so he tackles better, doesn't commit stupid mistakes or costly penalties and is overall a better player. well the other guy can go to the olympics and leave football to real football players for all i care. i always liked McGraw and i hope he can really come into his own and start consistently...
remember what i think is real important: the fact that Toby can not be considered a fullback since he's never played that in college whereas Peyton was conveniently already pegged as one at school. at worst, i think, toby will share Mike Alstott's fate and will play a powerbackwho might (or...
big unreal, get real man. NFL is simply sh*tty enough atm that even a mediocre team like Broncos, with some luck and some sloppiness on the part of any given opponent, can win games.
bad news:
According to the Boston Herald, Patriots rookie receiver Julian Edelman is out indefinitely with a broken arm.
It's a season-threatening injury for the college quarterback-turned-NFL slot receiver. Edelman was coming off his second most productive game of the season -- a...
Cushing is incredible. he almost led the teams in tackles, again, and that's playing Strong Side LB! Pollard is a strong tackler as well although he's terrible at playing pass.
