Babe hits 199 More HRs in today's game!

Although the Babe allegedly hit a home run to right-center field that analysts estimated at almost 500 feet! However, Babe was probably aided by the right-field wall, which was only 250ft from home plate. Similar to how lefties like David Ortiz benefit from the Pesky Pole in Fenway Park.

    Week 9 2009

The Eagles make the Cowboys look like BYU in comparison tonight. Minus a battered Chris Gocong, the Eagles are starting only OG Todd Herremans and TE Brent Celek. Absolutely brutal.

    MLB Off-season

LINK for that story, Jack. The two names being tossed around to replace him, however, are both black fellows; Chone Figgins, formerly of the Angels, and contract-year All-Star Adrian Beltre. Personally, I'd like to see a trade for Garrett Atkins or Kevin Kouzmanoff, both good defensive thir...

    MLB Off-season

Older news, but worth highlighting: -The Tampa Bay Rays traded 2B Akinori Iwamura to the Pittsburgh Pirates for rookie RHP Jesse Chavez. Tampa unloaded some payroll and added a high-upside arm. (LINK) -The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim signed OF Bobby Abreu to a two year deal worth $19MM...

    MLB Off-season

One of my favorite sports seasons of the year is now in full swing: MLB hot stove trade season! Figured we could use a thread to keep track of the myriad transactions that occur in the off-season. Feel free to post anything I miss, as there are going to obviously be some that slip under the...

    Chase Utley

As much as I loathe Joe Buck, he commented that Chase Utley should be in the conversation of players you would want to build a franchise around. Truly a remarkable athlete and ballplayer, it's fun to watch him. Cheers, Chase!

    Week 8 2009

Dixie, Biermann was in fact listed as the starter at DE. From what I saw, the Falcons do a ton of rotating on the defensive line, moving people in and out, and to different positions.

    The Boys Of November

I heard this, and it would be tough for anyone to disagree. Werth has incredible power and speed, that speed translating into outfield range and skill on the basepaths. He came up as a centerfielder after being moved from catcher! That should give a pretty good indication of his athletic ability.

    Brandon Wegher

Writeup on the situation from an Iowa blog. They mention the obligatory "runningback by committee" that seems to spawn whenever a white runner is the last healthy body left on the depth chart. The article mentions everything except how Brandon is the starter. True freshman Brad Rogers is also...

    Crime Thread

Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards has been charged with assault stemming from his mix-up with a friend of LeBron James. The incident was most likely one of the main reasons Edwards was traded from the Browns earlier this year

    Opinions on White+Mixed Couples

Then I suppose your many pearls of wisdom have been truly cast before swine here. Please, mercifully, allow us to wallow in our own ignorance and closed-mindedness some more. I'm sure you're heralded as a genius and a trailblazer somewhere. Go back there.

    Opinions on White+Mixed Couples

Mark, care to take a moment and reflect upon what you've written? You stated: You took the time to log on, formulate a post asking members here our opinions on a certain topic, and craft numerous responses. Some members spoke their opinions, as it appears you wished them to do. And how...

Well, seeing as he hasn't been placed on the injured reserve, it is plausible that he could play again this year.

    Brandon Bourbon - RB 2010

It's awesome you coach Pop Warner football, FD. I myself played center and middle linebacker on a Pop Warner team that made it to the championship game in 2000. We lost 8-0 in the national championship game on an interception returned for a touchdown. Most Pop Warner teams are based in...

Thanks for the update, sir. I greatly enjoy the work done by Caste Football's scouting department in finding white stars to cheer for at the college level. Welcome to CF, FootballDad.

    Toby Gerhart

IMO, the Packers would be a better fit than the Colts. Donald Brown is a power back, albeit with less big play potential than Toby. I don't think they would "offset" each other real well. On the other hand, Toby would be much better outright replacing Ryan Grant. After his breakout season and...

Wow, that's awesome! Dwid, you've really done terrific work on YouTube, work that is clearly being noticed, if even just through a link. Every little tie that Caste Football can have to the MSM is a step in the right direction. Keep up the great work, sir! It's making a huge difference!

    Football Equipment Thread

Well Colonel, if this thread pops up, you know I'll be here. The first time I wore a Revolution helmet, it just didn't feel...right. Maybe it was because I spent my whole career up to that point wearing the traditional ones, maybe it really was all that different, I don't know. I didn't like...
