    March Madness 2023

dude, what a dumbass pass by Gonzaga’s Julian Stawther. with no pressure on him after crossing the midcourt stripe, he simply threw the ball to a trailing teammate in the backcourt. I-D10-T. that’s the kind of boneheaded turnover that happens in junior high. but the Zags backcourt have been...

    March Madness 2023

WOW!!! what a move by Timme! he’s got a game-high 29 points (on 14-20 shooting) and a game-high 9 rebounds. 14 minutes still to go in the game. Jacquez has team-highs for UCLA in scoring and rebounding.

    March Madness 2023

the only thing that can stop Timme from scoring are his teammates. jeez! when they’re not freezing him out, they’re turning the ball over. on the other side of things, Jacquez is dismantling the Zags defense. dude is terrific!

    March Madness 2023

Mick Cronin, UCLA’s head coach, just said (his big black center) was tired from trying to guard Timme. there was still nearly 12 minutes left in the first half at the time of the comment. LOL

    March Madness 2023

Drew Timme is putting on an absolute clinic early in the first half against UCLA! he’s got 15 of Gonzaga’s 19 points (on 7-10 shooting). he’s been simply unguardable thus far.

    March Madness 2023

at halftime, the 3 White athletes for UConn (two of whom are freshmen) are a combined 6 for 7 from the floor for a total of 13 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 blocked shot, and ZERO turnovers. “may we have more playing time, please?” for Michigan State, Joey Hauser is (once again) the game’s...

    March Madness 2023

yes, the White gym rats have “somehow” been able to dominate the “real affletes” from the SEC in the early going. i’ve been big on Clingan since before the conference portion of the season began this year. he’s got a BRILLIANT future.

    2022-2023 College Basketball

has anyone noticed Carson Cooper of Michigan State? he doesn’t get a lot of minutes for them off the bench, but the freshman big guy moves really well and is very long. he’s a youngster i think that could blow up in the coming years (if his work ethic matches his physical tools).

    College Hoops News; Transfers

that’s terrific! they’re certainly his Achilles’ heel. i wonder why he’s transferring, though. he appeared poised to run the show again next season for a young team that’ll really want to run ...

    Pick your team ...

thanks. i’m making my early bid for my Power 5 team. i’m expecting to have a lot of departures from my starting lineup, as Nunge, Mayer and (potentially) Wahl will graduate (Wahl is potentially able to return for his “covid” year, but i don’t think Nunge is) and probably go play professionally...

    Pick your team ...

when are you guys gonna post your rosters?!? i’m eager to see what y’all come up with ... ps., i surprised myself with how well my rosters from last season turned out, and the continuity into this season’s would be cool to see played out in real life. it’s a shame no “real” coach/recruiter...

Timme was a monster in the second half. simply unstoppable.

    March Madness 2023

St. Mary’s style of play reminds me of old school option football: controlled, deliberate pace offensively creates high efficiency but low scores. while this is an obviously effective strategy, it is problematic when you get behind by very much. to further add to this team’s struggle today...

    March Madness 2023

i like the two big White freshmen on the court at the moment for St. Mary’s and UConn. bright futures for the both of them.

    March Madness 2023

Joey Hauser (Michigan State) and Tyler Kolek (Marquette) are the only White starters for their respective teams, yet they are clearly the best player on their teams. you’d think their recruiting process would prioritize targeting more players like them ...

    March Madness 2023

the two Spanish freshmen you mentioned look VERY intriguing. they’re both highly skilled, long, and mobile. they’re just SUPER spindly (though they do play with aggression). if they hit the weight room, they could become terrific players.

    March Madness 2023

more of our athletes need to play like Duke’s freshman, Kyle Filipowski. dude has literally been knocked bloody in this game against Tennessee, but he refuses to yield! he keeps attacking the basket and battling for every loose ball. he’s playing like the warrior our ancestors would want us all...

    March Madness 2023

i refer you to my post from yesterday: add Fairleigh Dickenson to the list of teams that play this way ... it’s a definite paradigm shift in college basketball, and in my opinion not for the better.

    March Madness 2023

it’s been a tough day for our guys and a tough day for beautiful basketball. a lot of these teams who are winning are playing a very ugly, albeit obviously effective, style of basketball: controlling the tempo with “very physical” defense (aka fouling) and counting on whistle fatigue from the...

Utah State’s 3 balls didn’t fall, so they did. bummer.

    March Madness 2023

USU’s coach is LIVID after repeat non-calls that were obviously fouls. the bench gets a T ... will this energize their team?

    March Madness 2023

Missouri is face guarding Ashworth, doing all they can to limit his touches. that is respect! but Utah State is going to have to finish through contact, because the officials aren’t calling much. Brown, a black cat, is playing VERY well for Mizzou.
