That Brown/Aldo fight could be a absolute war if Aldo can take a punch because we know he can give one. I want to see Brown test that chin.

Very good card so far. Shane Roller looked awesome in getting the tap from Castillo (who is a very good fighter).

Brown-Also is a very tough fight. Mike should win but Aldo has kind of a freewheeling style that could give Brown problems.

Brown got smoked! Ref stopped it in the second round as Aldo had his back and was raining blows. Brown had a good round one but was being outstruck. Brown was trying to take him down but Aldo has a good defense. Mike is good but will not beat Aldo. Urijah Faber has a better style for Aldo so maybe he can get the belt back for whites.

It wasn't a good (overall) night for the White fighters.

I was very disappointed to see Brown get defeated like that. Mike needs to crisp-up his BJJ...he seems 2-dimensional at times (just wrestling & boxing). I agree with LL that Faber has a better style to take the strap back. Uriah is (also) very quick & has better BJJ than Brown.

Here's the card overview...

Main Card

* Featherweight Championship bout: Mike Brown (c) vs. Jose Aldo

Aldo defeated Brown via TKO (strikes) at 1:20 of round 2 to become the new WEC Featherweight Champion.

* Lightweight bout: Rob McCullough vs. Karen Darabedyan

Darabedyan defeated McCullough via split decision (30-27, 27-30, 29-28).

...Rob got ripped off IMO.

* Lightweight bout: Danny Castillo vs. Shane Roller

Roller defeated Castillo via submission (rear naked choke) at 3:32 of round 3.

***Swanson looks mestizo & has a "Mexigangsta" style "SoCal" tattoo on his belly.

* Bantamweight bout: Antonio Banuelos vs. Kenji Osawa

Banuelos defeated Osawa via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
