Various forms of trolling

I hope this post will help others on the forum recognize trolls and trolling behavior when they see it.

Baiting:
On Internet forums, baiting is sometimes used in attempts to empty forums or reduce a forum's usage. This type of baiting is usually done to make the atmosphere of a forum appear unpleasant or to make forum owners, moderators and long-time users look foolish. A person using this kind of baiting may post comments to elicit rude responses from prominent members of a forum, thus making the responding member or members appear as trolls or flamers to bystanders. As a result, forum users in general may become disgusted and leave the forum.

Concern:
A concern troll is a pseudonym created by a user whose point of view is opposed to the one that the user's sockpuppet claims to hold. The concern troll posts in web forums devoted to its declared point of view and attempts to sway the group's actions or opinions while claiming to share their goals, but with professed "concerns". The goal is to sow fear, uncertainty and doubt within the group.[8]

Flamebait:
Flamebait is a message posted to a public Internet discussion group, such as a forum, newsgroup or mailing list, with the intent of provoking an angry response (a "flame") or argument over a topic the troll often has no real interest in...

It is often hard to determine who is really responsible for the degradation of a reasonable discussion into a flamewar. Someone who posts a contrary opinion in a strongly focused discussion forum may be easily labeled a "baiter," "flamer," or "troll." Therefore, it seems especially important to make the rules and focus of a discussion forum public to avoid misconceptions about its accepted use.

Sock puppet:
A sockpuppet is an online identity used for purposes of deception within an Internet community. In its earliest usage, a sockpuppet was a false identity through which a member of an Internet community speaks while pretending not to, like a puppeteer manipulating a hand puppet.... "the act of creating a fake online identity to praise, defend or create the illusion of support for one's self, allies or company."[2]

The key difference between a sockpuppet and a regular pseudonym (sometimes termed an "alt") is the pretense that the puppet is a third party who is not affiliated with the puppeteer.

And of course there is always just the schadenfreude trolls receive from ruining a good discussion (See Mayweather, et al discussions elsewhere on this site.)

The a-holes at okayplayer have already talked about infiltrating here and being as careful as possible so as to do some of the trolling mentioned above. One of the most recent posters in the Mayweather threads was one and so might be the other.

C'mon #12, surely you remember the secret meeting we had in July where we plotted our world takeover plan in detail.

I've spent most of the last month making preparations to move cross-country so I haven't been able to read a lot of recent threads, but I think it's fair to say that just about every troll here is uncovered and banned, either quickly or eventually. There's always a gray area where it isn't clear if someone is a troll or not and where reasonable people can disagree on someone's intentions, but there's only a few posters that fit into that category.Sooner or laterall the trolls givethemselves away. And if they areclever enough tosuccessfully pose as an unquestionedCF supporter, then their purpose is defeated.

There's another site filled with smirking white chimps called SomethingAwful.com that regularly posts about Caste Football. Less than 1 percent of infiltrators from these types of sites last more than a post or two, and many are banned before they even post (no, I'm not going to give away any of my secrets lol).

The "concern" troll cited above seems to be the most common one to hang on for a little while. But I can't stand moralizers and self-appointed site "sheriffs," so those types are going to be met with more "zero tolerance." If you like it here, post here, if not go elsewhere, every other sports board in the U.S. is pro-Caste.Try topersuade othersthrough positive, polite, informative posts, not by sermons or telling everyone else what to think and write. Objections or suggestions should be made by pm'ing the appropriate person or people, not by ruining threads.Edited by: Don Wassall

Gentlemen,

I'm curious. Just what is a troll and what do they want?
Obviously, from what I read here, they don't believe that White athletes are being given a hard time like we do. However, why is it neccesary to ban them? Isn't what they have to say harmless to our beliefs? I know what I see and hear and nobody could convince me that I'm wrong at this point in my life.

Personally i really dont care what the trolls think. I try to keep my posts positive and justt get the word out(like everyone else on this site) about the mistreatment of white athletes. Really thats all we can do here at Caste Football, inform people and maybe they will make up their own mind on sports.

White Shogun's post above gives a very good description of various kinds of them. Trolls are people opposed to the beliefs of a site and want to disrupt it by various means, including provoking as many unproductive arguments as possible. They are banned because there are many, many, many, manymore of them than there are of us and if they were allowed to postheretherewould be literally thousands of them doing so. Hundreds, maybe even over a thousand by now, have already been banned, and if they knew they had a green light to post here, many more would try. Also, the consensus of CF posters has always been that this site is a sanctuary from Caste System supporters and ideology, a place to get away from the anti-white viewpoint thatpermeates everywhere else in society.

Whilst searching Caste Football in Google and limiting my results to the last month I found this: https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3979369&pagenumber=6

CTRL+F "Caste Football".

"The worst part of the Ravens atrocious line play is all the caste football rear end Lamar opinions we're going to see Monday morning. Even on this very forum."

Maybe those opinions are justified? Somethingawful is an older forum itself so I didn't expect to see it pop up.

Trolls still sign up from time to time I wonder if they originate mostly from these older forums as well.

It's no coincidence that Jackson's biggest decline came after the retirement of Marshal Yanda, who was consistently among the best interior linemen throughout his career.
