Tim Means gets the night off to a good start with a UD over Brazilian BJJ specialist Magalhaes.

Another tough young 170 lb white fighter on the horizon.

LL, thanks for the reminder. I forgot this card was on tonight. I'll be pullin' for Ellenberger, Simpson, Dillashaw & Albert.

No problem, Dixie.

Nice little free card on a Wednesday night ... with many whites fighting.

Dang! Albert looked to almost have a few subs + (maybe) a TKO before getting caught via RNC. :(

Dillashaw dominates the 1st two rounds, but couldn't finish that RNC. Watson got a few lucky sub attempts, but Dillashaw w/ the UD.

30-25, 30-25 and 30-26 for Dillashaw over Watson. That's about as dominant as can be without getting a KO or tap.

Stipe v. DeFries next. Two young, undefeated white heavies! I got Stipe due to his Golden Glove boxing and all-American wrestling. That's a pretty lethal combo.

Markes is a natural 205'er+. He cut weight to 185 because he can't deal w/ the top of the LHW class. I bet Markes walks around at 210-215.

BTW, I have to hand it to mulatto (albino?) Brookins. He seems to have the right attitude...shows humility (versus the normal saber rattling we hear).

Dadgum Herman looked like ol' Dutch Mantell with the beard and fur. Too bad Struve has a glass jaw. Heavy handed HWs like Carwin & JDS (did) would knock his noggin' off.

both Simpson and Herman looked very disappointing. I'm glad Tim Means defeated the Austrilian Bernado Magahalaes(sp). Means is only 27, but has been around for a long time and has won his last ten defeating some good talent. I hope he does well in the UFC.

Is the Loeffler/Roberts fight canceled or did they just move it due to time issues?

I know I am in the minority, but I think Struve can become a top heavyweight. He is only 23 and has the youth and size to really do something. They put him in with Dos Santos for his first UFC fight when he was only 20!

His BJJ is very good and his striking is improving. He looked good his last two fights againt Barry and Herman.

Ellenburger looked like a threat to GSP those first two rounds. I gave Sanchez the third.

Two rounds to one for Ellenberger. I would be at all shocked if he gets screwed.

If it wasn't for that slip in the third round Ellenberger would have won all three rounds.

Sturve has potential, his striking needs to improve, but he's got size and a great ground game. I think in three or four years he could be a contender.

Ellenberger's boxing & wrestling are sharp. Sanchez won the 3rd because Jake slipped in the transition...allowing Diego to get his back. I think Jake will get the rematch with Condit (if GSP is gonna be out alot longer).

Struve has size, good ground game & potential. However, he needs to re-assess his striking game to better fend off big punches...as he's been KO/TKO'd four times.

I read that Condit is going to wait for GSP (should be November).

But why not put Jake in with the winner of Koschek v. Hendricks?
