Observations

1. Well, starting the show off with a bunch of fights is brilliant. This is the best idea Dana White has ever had.
16 fights instead of useless, boring, soap opera the first episode.

2. Two Blacks lost to non-Blacks in the first episode, one by quick KO, the other by deciscion. They may be nice enough, but as long as there is a Caste system, I'm glad to see them loose.

3. Quinton Jackson is a moron. I'm sorry, he is a good fighter and probably nice enough, but it is painful to listen to him try and talk. Reminds me of the half-wit in "Of Mice and Men", only that guy was more articulate.

I liked the "FEIGHT UR WAY IN2 TEH HOWZE1!!1" idea alot too, as I usually just wait til the fight starts towards the end of the show to watch it anyway.

They had to do something after last season. They only had maybe 3 or 4 guys that could actually fight with some level of competency. They had a couple more that were tough, but unskilled. Then probably more then half the guys on the show would probably walk into a bar and get their ass handed to them by a brawler.

I like this format too. I watch the show for the fights & training sessions. The house drama is standard soap opera crap.

WS, you're correct sir...Rampage isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. He's a "reformed" street thug who's now able to capitalize on some of his street fighting background (largely due to a pro-caste push). Drunk white (MMA) fans talk about how "funny" he is, but I'd say he's more buffoonish & obnoxious than humorous. I hope Forrest tears him up & takes the strap!

BTW, Mike Dolce fought in the IFL last season & showed some solid punching power (as he did in TUF7 episode 1). He might have a decent shot.

Who do you guys think is going to win TUF. So far my two favorites are C.B. Dollaway and Paul Bradley because of their great wrestling. Both are in their early 20s, undefeated, and have extensive wrestling backgrounds. On the second show though I did like Brandon Sene.
Interesting fact about Mike Dolce he used to be a 250lb power lifter. He is extremely strong with a 520lb bench and 600lb squat.

Dolce impressed me with dem akkurate punches. I didn't know he could bench 520lbs, jesus. He didn't really come off as particularly well muscled to me, anymore than anyone else, anyway.

It looks like someone is going to get kicked out of the house next week...

<---Wonders to himself how anyone who has TAKEN and GIVEN a beatin' to get into the %$@$%$%@^^%@@$$ house gets themselves kicked out.

I'm sorry, but I think the producers must be subtly encouraging behavior that will make people think MMA fighters and young males in general are all complete idiots.

Savage, I think you're correct. They definitely push these kids to bump up the "drama". The producers know full well reality TV must be "exciting" to sell itself. As stated above, I don't watch for the house shenanigans, but for the training & fights. The stereotype of MMA fighters being foul-mouthed, "tatted-up", party-animal, testosterone-filled cretins is definitely perpetuated by the house foolishness.I'd say fighters like CroCop, Matt Hughes, Randy Couture & Fedor represent MMA more along the lines of true professionals.

If I recall (that is a big if, I don't remember paying as much attention to the house interaction back then either), in the earlier seasons of TUF the guys sorta just...stayed in the house and trained until it was time to fight.

Now it seems like they want to make the show more like MTV's ignorant "Jackass" show, where a bunch of snot-nosed narcissistic nihilist masochists chimp out on a daily basis. Abhorrence begets ratings in america.

On TUF 7 last night (episode 3), Mike Dolce was submitted by Big John McCarthy clone Jesse Taylor via RNC. Dolce's poor execution & lack of following strategy disappointed me. Dolce insisted on staying on the ground with Taylor (a better wrestler who trains with Dan Henderson) instead of capitalizing on several opportunities to take the fight back up. Dolce's BJJ looked a little sub-par (for that level) as well. Dolce failed to capitalize on his heavy hands. Not much house "drama" on episode 3, but I'm sure there's plenty of foolishness forthcoming.

It's funny to me because the big dumb lug looks and acts a bit like a guy I work with. I really thought Dolce would do better, though, he gave up his back five times or something like that. That Jack Nicholson impersonator got taken out early D:

Well this years tough enough champion will most likely be a white guy. Gerald Harris the only black guy on the show, was koed last week by Amir Saddolah. Dante Rivera is the only non white guy in the competition and I personally thought Brenden Sene won his fight against him. Rampages team is 1-6 right now

. Next Wensday C.B Dollaway(The All-American Wrestler) takes on Nick Klien. Other that remain include talented boxer Matt Brown, Tim Crueder a jui-jitsu black belt, and Jesse Taylor an outstanding wrestler.

TUF Alert! Tonights show is suppossed to have a shocking ending and it's going to be a extra 30 minutes long, a hour and half show in other words. I really like that kid Amir, he's alot tougher than he looks and CB Dolloway comes off like a real jerk. So here's hoping that Jesse faces Amir in the finals. Somebody does something stupid tonight and loses their place in the show and/or finals. That's the word on the net anyway. If you know what the deal is, keep it to yourself until after the show. No spoilers.

Amir defeated CB in the third round submission. However as expected Jesse Taylor made an ass out of himself at a casino and got kicked off the show. The Final will be a rematch between CB and Amir. I think CB will win the rematch. However I think Amir will get a contract too.

I expect Amir to win the rematch too. Amir usually looks like the loser after the fight is over with his face bruised and battered but he seems to find a way to get the job done. I enjoyed watching Rampage's team totally dominated by Forrest's team throughout the series. Rampage also lost the coaches compettion at basketball(playing horse) where Forrest seemed to sink every shot while Rampage was lucky to hit rim. I especially got a kick out of Forrest finishing Rampage off with a nice dunk. Lets hope the fight goes the same way.

ps..What a idiot that Jesse Taylor is. Maybe he didn't want to fight Amir! I hope he cleans his act up and gets another shot on some UFC prelim card down the line.

Well, I must say I am disgusted. I like the the Shaddolah kid. I don't like Dolloway. I was delighted when Shaddolah managed to pull a victory out of the jaws of defeat. I thought he stood a better chance with the someone what less experienced, and lets face it, dumber Jesse Taylor. Now, we'll have to find out if lightning will strike twice for Amir.

One thing you will note about Dana White and the UFC-Taylor did something stupid, acted an ass, brought shame to the sport, and he was out. Finalist in the tournament, didn't mater. Compare this to ANY other major sport-football, basketball, boxing, where the prize "affaletes" can be guilty of any felony you want to name, yet the organizations are perfectly content to to have them play right up until the cell doors slam and right after they get let out the front gate.

Taylor was long on talent & potential but severely lacking in the maturity & intelligence department. I was glad to see (the arrogant yet brutally honest) Dana White boot him for that stunt. I was also appalled to see those idiot cretins destroy that beautiful house (that someone else paid for & had to repair). Those clowns should've been laid into by Dana for that foolishness. They looked as bad as Jesse (almost). Anyway, I still enjoy the show (training & fights), but could do without the high school/college frat boy hyjinks.

I wouldn't be surprised if the producers wanted them to do that. I remember seeing a show about reality TV, and one show charged people for the cost of any item in the house that they destroyed. So they could simply charge them for the damages if they really wanted to.

There was a article the other day on yahoo where Dana White vehemently denies that they encouraged the fighters to wreck the house and he said that alot of fighters don't like how they have come off on the show and some blame the show and the UFC instead of looking in the mirror. I don't know if I believe that or not but he did say in the future that the fighters will have to pay damages if they damage the house again in future shows.

Your welcome. It will be interesting to watch the next TUF and see if all the frat house crapola is gone. MMA guys should have honor above all else, that's what the martial arts is all about. The honor of martial arts may be getting lost in the mainstream explosion of MMA.
