Ahhh, thats the beauty of MMA fighting. Cocky, foul-mouthed "affaletes" don't last too long in this elite sport. Even Rampage is beginning to slip a bit. The more he wins, the more we have to hear his big mouth. However, I sense him losing his belt very soon. And as for the Dan Henderson fight...that one could have gone either way. As far as I'm concerned, Rampage got lucky with that so-called "victory" of his.

There's a fighter out there who definitely has his number. I have a feeling its going to be either one of the Russians or the Brazilians. Either way, someone is going to tag him real soon. That Henderson fight was way too close, and I think people saw that Rampage is not as great as everyone thought he was.

Here's hoping that Serra's boy, I believe his name is Joey Scranlon or something like that gets kicked off the show by Dana White next week. I am tired of his whining about not seeing his girlfriend and not being allowed to make any phone calls during his six weeks at the house. He knew what he was signing up for and I am tired of hearing his bitching and moaning each week. There are thousands of MMA fighters that would give anything for the opportunity he has. I also hope Matt Hughes takes out the foulmouthed and disrespectful Matt Serra at the end of the TUF season. They both act like pricks sometimes but I think Serra is the bigger one.Edited by: guest301

I still question rampage using the cage to flip out of henderson's armbar in that match. You aren't permitted to grab the cage, but using your feet on the cage to climb out of an armbar is legal? Should have had points deducted there.

using your feet on the cage to flip over is a technique called "wall walking" and is perfectly legal.

Boy, that kid that got eliminated last night was a complete joke. I'm not kidding when I say you could take any marginally athletic male off the street, throw him in the ring with that kid, and expect a favorable outcome. Makes you wonder what the criteria is for selecting the participants on the show?

I wonder if the talent pool is not as thick as we have been lead to believe. Dana keeps talking about the huge list of applicants. How many of those applicants suck?

Think about last season: they had a Muslim and a Jew on the show, two Brits, a deaf guy, a street thug, and a Leben clone. Before that they had the Katrina hero (Guillard) and the other flood victim (Rothermael?), etc.

I believe they choose the fighters based on the potential for conflict and drama in the house, rather than who they think is the best unknown, deserving fighter. Throw in a couple of guys who are actually pretty good so the winner will have a little bit of legitimacy, and there you have it - six seasons of TUF.

Excellent analysis. I think TUF has ran its course at this point I enjoy the fights and training sessions, but the house "drama" has been grossly over-done.

I wanted to watch this season to watch the interaction between Serra and Hughes. I think some of the fighters on the show are doing a disservice to the sport. They show up out of shape, over weight, lack skill, and display little heart or determination.

Two guys so far have quit midway through the show because they were homesick over a chick. They can't even manage to stay put for six friggin' weeks? Many of the rest are destructive, destroying other people's property and making a game out of it. Many are drunks. One even attacked the camera crew. It sickens me to listen to these guys complain about how tough it is in the house because they can't call anyone or go anywhere. Try boot camp a**hole. Or Iraq.

I thought it was interesting that they made such a big deal about the obviously horrible judging in last nights fight. Its not often that an athletic organization will show up the officials like that.

So far, this season has had the worst fights that I can remember. The guy who lost last night basically had no game, save the ability to counter punch. Unfortunately, the kicks and punches he took to set up his counters negated that ability pretty much.

I love to watch MMA, even if TUF is not as good as it used to be, it's still worth watching and you never know if this house holds another Forrest Griffin just waiting to break onto the scene.

Jared Rollins, the other Black guy this season, got TKOd in the first round by an Australian of Greek descent.

That makes it 6-1 for Team Serra. I like Hughes, but I think he may not be that great a coach. Is it possible he got dealt 6 bad fighters? It may be one of those cases where he's too good at the sport to make a good coach. His application of brute force has won him alot of fights, but coaching someone for a skill sport like MMA isn't all force it-push it harder.

I have to admit, for some reason I like Serra too, although I hope Hughes wins the fight with him to seal his legacy.

I couldn't stand Matt Serra before this show. Jared's (?) impression of Serra's ringside coaching style was right on - it's annoying as hell. But whether it's the editing or not I don't know, but I have come to like Serra. I admire the way he dealt with his friend in the earlier episodes. He risked a pick to take his buddy, and stuck to his word that the guy wouldn't teach at any of his gyms any more if he left. The guy pussed out in unbelievable fashion and left his buddy hanging on national television. I find what he did despicable. These guys act like six weeks away from home just TRAINING is a huge sacrifice.

Like Serra said before the fight, if this was a body building contest J-roc (or whatever) would have won hands down. But the guy with the old man's body KO'd him in the first round.

And what's up with these guys knocking George because he won't wake them up. Go to bed earlier, moron!

I want Hughes to win the fight against Serra, but I will be less disappointed now if Serra wins. Edited reality TV is a powerful thing.

As much as I don't personally like that prick Serra, I agree with the above posters that he is a great coach. A good fighter and a even better coach. I know Hughes is down 6-1 on the show but all that matters is Hughes beating Serra in their upcoming fight. Too bad Serra can't clone himself and have another Serra in his corner for that fight, he will need to get very lucky to beat Hughes.
