Super Bowl XLI -- An Angle the Media Won't Talk About

The 2007 Super Bowl may someday be remembered as the game that brought a semblance of racial equality to a sport that is mired in the old-fashioned ways of prejudice and bigotry. Caste Football salutes the NFL this year for helping to break down dated stereotypes and ensure a measure of racial diversity.

Yes, we are talking about the fact that the game will feature the league's best offensive player versus the league's best defensive player, and in a league where nearly every "star" is black, both of the aforementioned players are white. Peyton Manning, the best quarterback in the game, will match wits with Brian Urlacher, the best defensive player in football.

So this year's game promises to be special. And it will be all the more special to the fans at Caste Football as both players are among our favorites and share with us that special bond of kinship due to our shared European heritage.

Peyton Manning has been the number one football player in America for several years. His stellar play, along with his sterling behavior on and off the field, have served as an inspiration for young and old fans alike. Manning, who despite the brilliance of his football skill has not yet led his team to an NFL championship, can add the Vince Lombardi Trophy to his large collection of football accomplishments if the Colts win on Sunday. A Super Bowl win will cement his position as one of the best ever to play the game.

Manning has long enjoyed the acclaim that comes with statistical success and has the chance now to add the cherished goal of league champion to his long list of achievements. Football, being a team sport, makes it difficult for one man to be the difference in leading a team to the championship, but if there is anyone with the ability to do it, it would be Peyton Manning.

Peyton Manning has been an especially fresh breath of air in an otherwise stale NFL and media environment that seems to only provide gangsta blacks as people to cheer for. But Manning has withered the unending assault leveled at white players by the NFL and major college football to rise to the top and stand head and shoulders above the competition.

Since joining the Indianapolis Colts as the number one overall pick in the 1998 draft, Manning has scorched the record books, throwing for more yards and touchdowns than any other quarterback over the past decade.

In 2003, Peyton was named Associated Press' co-Most Valuable Player, and he is the only player in NFL history to pass for 4,000 yards in six consecutive seasons. He is also the only player in NFL history with 3,000 passing yards in each of his first nine seasons. Peyton has started 144 consecutive games, the most by any NFL quarterback to open a career. He is the only quarterback in NFL history with 25 or more touchdown passes in nine consecutive seasons.

If he stays healthy, Manning will shatter all the major career marks for quarterbacks. Already, at age 30, he ranks 7th all time in touchdown passes, 10th in completions, 13th in passing yards, and 17th in passing attempts.

Compare Peyton Manning to the other "face" of the NFL, the wildly over-hyped Michael Vick. Vick is considered to be one of the "new" style of QBs what with his propensity to run all of the time. However, note that Manning the pocket passer, while throwing for many more yards, has almost twice the number of touchdown passes that Vick has, has less interceptions even though he has thrown over 400 times more, and while supposedly is bereft of "athleticism," is in fact sacked far, far less than the alleged "super athletic" Vick. And while Vick regularly turns the ball over on fumbles, Manning has fumbled less than one third as often as Vick has. Vick the runner, is frequently injured while Manning has never missed a game. What the heck are the Falcons getting for all that money?

Manning has been the league's highest paid player and his number "18" Colts jersey regularly places among the leader in teamware sales. He is one of the few white athletes to have national advertising gigs. His popular TV commercials for MasterCard featuring "Peyton the superstar" going around cheering (and jeering) everyday working Joes as they stumble and fumble through their jobs is a hilarious spoof on the ridiculous worship that Joe Sixpack heaps upon professional athletes.

Manning is also a pitchman for Sprint, Sony, Gatorade, DirecTV, and the American Red Cross.

Manning comes from good stock. Father Archie was a legendary QB atOle Missand with the New Orleans Saints and Peyton's little brother Eli is a QB with the New York Giants. For the Manning family, NFL quarterback is a "family business" and in this case the family does it quite well.

On the other side of the ball is one of the most gifted athletes playing the game today. Brian Urlacher is the prototypical NFL linebacker. He is big, fast, strong, mean, a great tackler, great in pass coverage and possessed of the best football smarts on the defensive side of the ball in the league. Teams design plays to avoid having to come his way, although with little success. He has been a dominant force on the Bears defense for years and this year he anchored a unit that was the primary reason Chicago was the top seed in the NFC.

Urlacher is regularly elected to the Pro Bowl, no small feat in a league in which black players have the same propensity for voting for white players to be in the all-star game as the black population at large has for voting Republican. NFL defenses are virtually all black with very few whites playing anywhere. Positions such as cornerback are so black restricted that a white man has a better chance of being elected BET's man of the year than getting any playing time there.

Urlacher excels at the hallowed position of middle linebacker for the Chicago Bears, a position made famous by Hall of Famer Dick Butkus. He is a five-time Pro Bowl selection and was named the 2005 Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the second Bears player to win the award in franchise history and just the fifth player in NFL history to be named Defensive Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in their career.

Urlacher has led Chicago in tackles in 5 of his 6 seasons while recording over 100 tackles in each campaign, and he is the main reason that Chicago has allowed the fewest points in the NFL in 2 of the last 6 seasons, including 2005 when the Bears 202 points allowed was the second fewest in franchise history.

So while Peyton Manning is merely the best white player at a position that is stocked with talented white players, Brian Urlacher is a virtual white oasis in a desert of black defensive players. One can only imagine the racial slights he has received over the years facing competition from black players that are accustomed, and encouraged, to practice anti-white and pro-black social bigotry.

Brian Urlacher is the only white non-quarterback whose jersey sells outside his own market. As such, the uber-athlete is undoubtedly a role model for all of the millions of young white kids that want someone other than a quarterback to emulate on a football field.

If one really wanted an interesting racial angle to this year's Superbowl, there it is. The two best players on their respective sides of the ball, and both happen to be white in a majority black sport. However the so-called mainstream media has found another racial angle to the game, and unlike the pro-white version (which they are prohibited from addressing) it is, as usual, pro-black.

Both head coaches, Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith, are black. This will be the first time that a black head coach will be in the Super Bowl. As an item worthy of news coverage it is really just an aside. After all, lots of coaches have coached in the Super Bowl, some return, but most were there only due to a series of fortunate events that will never again be duplicated. If even superstar players cannot be counted on to lead a team to the Super Bowl without a good supporting cast, then imagine how far down the list is the guy that merely coaches the team.

Yet the Dungy/Smith angle is the most covered item of the game. Forget the many other compelling stories, this issue is gathering most of the attention of the press during the two-week blitz that occurs before the game.

So we have this silly little sidebar, this trifling insignificant coincidence, whereas both head coaches happen to be African-American. Whoopee! After many years of a league policy that all but FORCES teams to hire black coaches, finally a couple of them win a conference championship.

The question that should be asked is that if it is so important for everyone to be "color blind" then why all the focus on the color of the head coaches? And if it's okay to be aware of race and to be happy that one particular race has achieved something then why isn't it okay to express those same feelings for the white race?

Thus the media can have a total lovefest for Lovie Smith and Tony Dungy and it is considered a good thing, but when Caste Football celebrates the accomplishments of white athletes and the very real racism and stereotyping they face, that point of view is deemed "racist" and when not ignored is vehemently criticized.

The media celebrates black coaches but will never discuss racial discrimination against white football players when it comes to college recruiting or how they are treated by the NFL. If the NFL was completely black the media would not question it for a second, in fact they would instead focus attention on getting more black head coaches, more black general managers, more black broadcasters, sportswriters, etc. etc. That's the way the supposed "racial dialogue" goes in this country â€â€￾ it's totally a one-way street. Blacks good, whites bad. Anything "over-represented" by whites must be immediately demeaned and torn down. Anything over-represented by blacks becomes a permanent monopoly that must never be questioned.

Critics of those that believe there is a Caste System that works against whites feel that since teams only care about winning that they will field the best players possible. In other words, only merit counts. But then they will turn around and insist that the league hire minority coaches. Suddenly pure merit doesn't cut it anymore.

All of the media attention on Dungy and Smith is merely a big push to openly lobby the NFL to hire black coaches. Under the "Rooney Rule" the league even hands out fines and penalties if some type of attempt to hire black coaches is not made. How is this "color blind"? And what happened to judging talent purely on "merit"?

This absurd double standard is ridiculous and cannot stand up to any serious scrutiny. It would completely fall apart if any attention at all were paid to the obvious implications of the league's, and the media's actions. But nowhere, except here at Caste Football, is any serious attempt made to address the issue. The double standard continues to exist because it's supported in a way in which opposition to the party line simply isn't permitted.

At Caste Football we congratulate Peyton Manning and Brian Urlacher and wish them the best in the biggest game of their lives.

You forgot Dallas Clark.

"This absurd double standard cannot stand up to any serious scrutiny."

Of course not,no claims made by black about any of their endless list of whines/accusations/claims of accomplishments, ever stand up to even a small amount of scrutiny - in the Real World. But,We no longer live in that;We live in a Bizarro World version of Our old world.

But,thanks to filthy-rich,self-loathing,self-righteous White and jewish Marxists/Egalitarian/Goody-Two Shoeses In High Places,Whitey is no longer allowed to scruntinize blacks for anything ,no matter how evil, poisonous or destructive their behavior, actions or words clearly are,no matter how many people know it.

These self-loathers have been in all High Places - Team owners, executives, every single one who writes for,and puts together, every single newspaper and magazine ,or TV news show,as well as the usual politicans( And,again,We're only talking about the Whiteones, for starters.

Bad enough when black onesscreech when Whites try to put savage, destructive "affleets" away for TNB,WORSE when White ones refuse to. ).If not for them, every black sub-animal would have been dealt with,as they should have been.

TRAITORS,ALL OF THEM!!!!

We should find a way to ask these caste masters to explain the double standards in the most exacting detail. All these phony moralists need to feel the pain of public humiliation of explaining the unexplainable instead of sound bites in the controlled media. Perhaps Mr. Cash could arrange to interview one of the more egregious examples of this simple minded cult.

We may have to give Sports Illustrated some rare props. Their issue leading up to the Super Bowl puts Manning vs. Urlacher as the title of the article. And they put Manning then Urlacher on the cover in back to back weeks. I must admit I was pretty stunned by it. I didn't have time to read the article so I don't know much else about it.
