I read an article on ESPN that said the Philadelphia Eagles brought in former Carolina Panthers / 'Skins running back Stephen Davis for a physical and a workout. He left without a contract.

A guy like Davis, who is out of football, can get called in to try out for a back up slot on the Eagles, but Lumsden and Hartigan can't get a sniff of the football, even in the preseason?

Of course.

Took me a few seconds to realise that this wasn't David Stevens (white RB out of Saskatchewan). Almost had to change my underwear.Edited by: Ta Waki Mumba

Davis was always slow. Last season, from the accumulated affects of age and knee problems, he was pathetically slow. Carolina used him mostly as a goal line back, but did that only because of theNFL's ritualof "respecting" accomplished black players. It's a joke that the Eagles would even consider him, but the NFL is a joke when it comes to black opportunity versus white opportunity.

Davis is so slow that when he attempts to mug an old lady the lady flees and he can't catch her.

Davis exemplifies the Caste System. Davis was much slower and less explosive than so many white RBs (Luke Staley, Brock Forsey, Jesse Lumsden, etc.) who will never be given a chance to be a featured back in the NFL. Compare him to a guy like Rob Konard, who was bigger and much faster, yet was instantly converted to the white-friendly position of blocking FB by Caste guru Jimmy Johnson. Also compare him to Brad Hoover, who would be a featured back in the NFL if he were black, like Davis. It is all so obvious.
