Saints or Colts?

This is fairytale land to me, having followed the Saints (excluding the Haslett years) since the days when Billy Kilmer was quarterbacking. In my youth, the Saints would have off-season basketball teams. I can remember them coming to our town to play. Billy Kilmer had a mean jump shot. After all the comical lows endured by the Saints it is amazing and seems like a minor miracle just for the Saints to have been in a Super Bowl.

Weird situation around here with many folks being extreme Favre and Saints fans, and the same can be said concerning Peyton Manning. Bittersweet victory for those folks, myself also, after the way both games unfolded for Favre and Manning. I'm not a super Favre fan, just hate to see his critics have any kind of ammunition. Two friends could be head of the Favre fan club. I don't even mention what happen, if they want to talk about it, they'll have to bring it up.

Once Sean Payton figured out how to attack the Colts defense, Brees executed and went into full dissection mode. I was surprised that after the game that Chris Carter squarely put the blame for the interception on Reggie Wayne. Let's see how exactly the rest of the pundits portray the play.

Going to be an insane Mardi Gras. Lock up the children.

Did anybody notice that reality tv star Hank Baskett muffed the on-side kick for the Colts? They certainly weren't expecting that play or they wouldn't have had Baskett anywhere near the field.

They were bashing Caldwell's coaching today on ESPN so that is good. Plus they also bashed Wayne for half assing it the entire game and he was blamed for the interception, not Manning, "Wayne didn't get of scrimmage fast enough or get out of his break and made it easy for the db to jump the route". One guy even said "at some point you gotta take Wayne off the field and let Collie take the reins"

Good stuff DWID! Collie had a better game than Wayne yesterday. Wayne might have a bit more straight line speed than Collie but Collie is definitely the more dependable receiver on that team.

Addai played hard, an extremerarity for him, but other than Manning the one Colts player that should have stepped it up was Wayne, but he did his best Marvin Harrison post-season disappearing act. He's supposed to be one of the best receivers in theleague but came up very very small when it counted most. There was one commercial that disgusted everybody that I was watching the game with at the Super Bowl party at my church last night. It was that stupid "Green Police" commercial with American citizens getting cited, ticketed and pulled over for various enviromental infractions such as drinking coffee out of a styrofoam cup. Not a one of us laughed because we could easily see all that kinda stuff happening in the near future. I also pointed out to everybody by the 3rd quarter that White men were continually being attacked in these commercials and constantly being made fun of and I got several nods in agreement and think a light bulb went off in a few heads. It's good to watch these big sporting events in groups or with company over so you can steer the conversation in certain directions and help people to think about things instead of just blindly absorbing all this crapola.

There is something on Matt Drudge right now on the stir among the viewers that the "green police" commercial caused. Alot of people are in agreement with you that there was nothing funny about that commercial.

This morning, the front page of Yahoo had a story on how the "funniest" SuperBowl ads were the ones that derided the "male ego". I can't find it now. I think they've merge it into another story about the SuperBowl ads in general.

However, I did find this article and blog that addressed the "emasculation" of men in the 2010 SuperBowl ads.

The number of beer commercials was insulting. The violin playing beaver was the best imo.

The commercials didn't seem to be as offensive as past years. I didn't notice any naked White men (though there were quite a few running around in their underwear) or any White men getting kicked in the crotch, among other annual staples. Some even poked fun at the emasculated state of White men to make their sales pitch.

Yes, the commercials seemed to be less offensive than years past, but I was particaulary distrubed by that offensive commercial where the grandchild punches his grandfather in the crotch. I forget watever crappy product or service they were selling, but those kind of "jokes" - the humiliation of that pre-60's "racist" generation - are far too common and utterly disrespectful.

Liked the poignant scene of Drew Brees with his son at the end of the game. Thought it really put things in perspective in this sports obsessed country, and was quite a contrast to the black, thuggish image that the NFL has to deal with on a daily basis, in the form of Marshawn Lynch, Mike Vick, Warren Sapp,et cetera.

Congratulations to Drew Brees. He may not be as fast as Vick, but he runs a 4.2 flat in character. And I'll take that any day of the week over those "affletic" types.

The ads were the usual fare of fat, puffy White guys being humiliated in various ways. They're (the usual Semitic suspects, no doubt) not even bothering to make them humorous. They are just dripping with bitter, malicious hatred of everything occidental.

That ad was a nod to the Globalist Elite's envirofascist agenda. Even my 8 year old son knew it was total propaganda.

Glad to see Brees & Shockey have solid games. The Colts coal black defense needs much improvement and Wayne & Garcon proved (sans Garcon's TD) that Collie should be starting. I was a little upset Collie & Clark didn't get a few more passes. I'm sure the heathens down in the "Big slEazy" were raisin' cain last night. At least the caste masters didn't get ammo for more (faux) praise of (AA hire) Caldwell.

I too have a mixed reaction to this Super Bowl. I'm glad Collie and Clark led in receiving for the Colts, but it would have been nice to see them get a TD. Also, I wonder what the status of Gonzalez is. Is there a possibility that you could have Collie, Gonzo, and Clark all starting next season?

It was nice to see Brees win get the MVP and for Shockey to get a TD after his career nearly ending.

on the sidelines after the play, you could see Wayne trying to explain to Manning why he (Wayne) had screwed up. Manning had a look of frustrated disgust plastered on his face and wouldn't even look at his receiver. it seemed like Manning was completely POed at Wayne but was trying to maintain his poise.

you almost have to feel bad for guys like Manning and Brees... knowing how hard they work and the respect they have for the game being forced to work with so many guys who care more about "makin' it rain" at da club than winning.

otherwise, you guys have summed up my feelings on the game very well.

This game was a win win in terms of highlighting the dearth of White talent that is allowed to play in the NFL. Drew Brees came up big as he has done all season, after essentially having been caste off years ago because he did not fit the redefined,"prototypical" quotablack mold occupied by the likes of DuhMucous, ConVick or TarVirus Jackson to name a few examples.

I couldn't be more pleased that " coach" Calledwrong did not get a Superbowl win.It serves the Chocolate chiseler right after stealing a once in a life time perfect season opportunity from the Colts and their fans.

Note to Colts front office: Don't be so racist with an all negro defense. Get some White line backers and a safety or two that can cover and tackle.Edited by: WHITE NOISE

The Colts are such a successful system team. Jim Irsay and Bill Polian are the architects, Tom Moore and Howard Mudd are the key coaches, and of course Peyton Manning is the peerless engine that makes it run. Caldwell is mostly for show, as was Tony Dungy. That's not an insult, as Caldwell knows his role and plays it well.

Mudd is retiring and Moore is likely close to also doing so. Those are far bigger potential losses than just about any individual players other than Peyton. Would be nice to see them develop and play White talent on defense to take it the one step further they need to go to be a dynasty or mini-dynasty, but that would make them a White majority roster and that remains a no-go zone for NFL teams.

I just read some of the comments made by Dungy before the SB game. Ha ha ha. Eat some crow Tony! A perfect season sacrificed for the Super Bowl and the Colts get nada!

Brees was superb, Manning was also very good, but the pick 6 was a dumb play. The pass was thrown too late and didn't have much zip. Should have thrown to Collie who was WIDE open and less than 5 yards away from Wayne.

I like Peyton a lot, but he is not the greatest of all-time and not the greatest at the present IMO. Montana and Brady share my votes as you all know.

There are thousands of variables and the best QB's have bad games or make bad plays from time to time, but in do or die situations I'd place the ball in Brady's hands before Peyton's or anyone else playing today -especially post season. Liverlips, your post reminds me of an article I read recently that stated black coaches have higher winning percentages than white coaches. I'm sure this is old news on this site and everyone has read that article but it furthers the agenda of the NFL. It's the same when I watch NFL Network or any of the other NFL "shows." Watching Warren"Morbidly Obese" Sapp or Keyshawn "Jealous" Johnson makes me sick. If they have to prop these guys into these positions can't they at least put another "smarta bruva" in there.

I'm glad the Saints won because "black" coaches would've been 2-0 against White coaches had the Colts won and the Caste media would've rubbed that fact in big time leading the cause for more "diversity" in coaching while ignoring the "diversity" on the field. Nothing hypocritical about that.

I think the Chargers got the better of the trade with the Falcons by getting Brees, Tomlinson and Tim Dwight for Vick...

Given the fact that both Indianapolis and New Orleans are "small market" cities, the most watched Super Bowl and the most watched televsion program of all time is pretty darn good. Last year 99 million watched and that was the biggest audience in Super Bowl history. This year that number increased by an additional 7 million viewers.
I too will give much of the credit to the Brees-Manning battle.

Congrats to the Saints! Brees is a surgeon and disects the affletic secondaries on a regular basis....his accuracy is second to none..it's a minor shock when he throws an incompletion....8 TD's 0 INT's in the 3 Playoff games...he proved he is a elite QB. Jeremy Shockey had not been playingnear 100% with injury;scored the go ahead TD....Dave Thomas was clutch as well....they missed versitile FB-Heath Evans...props to Chris Reis for coming up with the ball on the on-side kick!

You still have a few idiots(but a few of us put them in their place on another msg. board) that look forward to drafting more athletic/faster LBers in place of Shanle &amp; Fujita...eventhough Shanle led the Saints with 23 total tackles for the playoffs(next closest 17)...elevated his game with new D-cooridnator...and Fujita is very athletic at 6'5" 250; like another coach on field..They have been starters since 06' w/ Saints..next year should be no different!

Also the Saints seem like a team that is as fair as any...Pierre Thomas was undrafted; Colston a 7th round pick &amp; Tracy Porter was a 1-star out of HS....

I like the Colts..big fan of Clark &amp; Collie...however the coal-black starting defense is too much to stomach...last thing needed to happen wasColts winning...just give every-other team a blue-print; another excuse to bench all white defensive playerslike they do...ASK DE-Jeff Charleston now playing for Saints who was CUT by the Colts last year...How Sweet it is!!Edited by: TwentyTwo
