Anyone seen this? FSN has been showing it on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and it's incredible.
Basically, they have these huge nylon "socks" that are inflated by fans and form pylons for aerobatic airplanes (Extras, etc) to maneuver through for best time. Since airplanes can and have hit the socks without damage, very tight turns and maneuvers are involved.(Some of the pilots have pulled as much as 13 Gs momentarily going through the course.)
Much more exciting than other motorsports IMO. That these daring and incredibly skilled contestants are lily-White goes without saying. How many "affletes" could claim to have the reflexes, coordination, and nerve of the guys who do this?
