In this thread post players who you think might or will bust. You could give your reasons for your opinion. You could follow up to see the accuracy of your prediction. Let's play Predict-a-Bust!
Was gonna make a thread like this myself but forgot about it haha. I'll post one player from each position group below. Gonna add write-ups later as I'm a bit busy at the moment. QB: Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati RB: James Cook, Georgia WR: Treylon Burks, Arkansas TE: Jelani Woods, Virginia OT: Daniel Faalele, Minnesota IOL: Tyler Smith, Tulsa IDL: DeMarvin Leal, Texas A&M EDGE: Boye Mafe, Minnesota LB: Nakobe Dean, Georgia CB: Roger McCreary, Auburn S: Kyle Hamilton, Notre Dame
Sauce Gardner and Darrell Stingley. Waaay overdrafted. All-timers like Deion Sanders and Rod Woodson went #5 and #9, respectively. Cornerback is not that valuable, and very hard to predict.
Tyquan Thornton. I know nothing about the guy but he’s a receiver and the Patriots picked him. As Don mentioned, for at least 10 years they’ve struck out on every WR they’ve picked in the earlier rounds. Would anyone want to bet this one will be different?
He's got good height and speed, but drops a lot of passes. He's a poor man's Marquez Valdes-Scantling. That's a kind of guy you throw a dart at during rounds 5-6. Not trade up for in round 2.
Travon Walker. Workout Warrior that was a part time player in a good Defense. Question his motor And run defense.
Changing my OT bust pick from Darian Kinnard to Daniel Faalele since I don't think it's quite fair to label a 5th rounder as a bust if he doesn't pan out. I guess the NFL teams also saw what I saw. Switching Jalen Wydermyer to Jelani Woods for the same reason.
