I have a prayer request for those at CF who believe in that sort of thing. I have been battling a severe reaction to a tetanus shot I was told to get after stepping on a nail at work about ten days ago. Since the shot my left shoulder and neck has gotten worse and worse and on a scale of 1-10, my pain is about a 8 right now. I am on viconin now and have a doctors appointment tommorrow to discuss this. I have done a little research on the internet and some of the stories out there on the rare side effects of a tetanus shot are kinda scary. Anyways, in alot of pain right now and could use some prayers. I will post again in a couple of days on how things are going.

Thank you so much guys for your well wishes and prayers. I saw the doctor this morning and I was told that they had never seen such a bad reaction to a tetanus shot before, they had heard and read about bad side effects but hadn't seen a case for themselves. They even called up the CDC in Atlanta for advice on my case. Anyways I am taking a new steriod medication that I can't even begin to spell right now and my pain has somewhat improved and hopefully in a few weeks things will be back to normal or it could take a few months. I am alot more hopeful and less worried about things than when I wrote that post yesterday, not out of the woods yet but I am doing somewhat better. Last time I ever get a tetanus shot, that's for sure. Thanks again for your prayers and concern, this is a special website full of good men.

Thank God is right. It's been a few days since I have posted but I thought I would give a update. I am getting better each day but still some pain issues and left collarbone and neck problems associated with the bad tetanus shot. But doing ok, the medication I am taking seems to be working and hopefully I will be 100% in a few weeks with no residual lifelong issues associated with the shot. Thanks for the prayers, fellas.

God bless you brother. You know, Jesus took infections, and all that type of thing to the cross with him. Command that ol Devil to halt his attack on your body in Jesus name, believe you recieve healing, and then give him praise and glory.

To guest301:

I can tell what you're going through 'cause I just recovered from a bad fever myself. Think positive, and have a strong will and determination. God and Jesus will be there to watch and guide over you. Best of luck you, and hope you get well. Edited by: j41181
