Few interesting fights on the card -

Oleinik had a bad start to his UFC career, was awful against Overeem and was wiped out in seconds by Walt Harris. He bounced back with a couple of solid wins, but needs to get this one as well.

Lewis is going to be 30+ pounds bigger, but that could be an advantage. He needs to drag him to deep waters on the mat and get the submission.

Weidman is also fighting. He takes on Akhmedov in a make or break fight. He has dropped 5 of his last 6 and all by TKO/KO. I really hope he has one more run in him, but I wouldn't be confident. He will always be a legend in my eyes no matter what. "Those" two wins will never be forgotten.

*Bellator Spoiler *

Chandler/Henderson 2 -

Took place last night. Henderson the former UFC champ looked lively to begin, but he was knocked down with a good shot, and Chandler jumped on him to get the TKO. Oleinik/Weidman double tonight would make it a good MMA week.

Thanks for getting the ball rolling with this thread!

Sad to see Weidman's career take this turn. If he loses again tonight.. What a sour end to a once promising career.

I always count out fat boy Lewis and he always wins. He's got zero cardio but he's still a top Heavyweight in a weak weight class.

I would be quite surprised if Lewis doesn't KO Oleinik in the first round. The only way Oleinik wins this fight is by submission. On a side note it is quite interesting that Oleinik has the arm reach and leg reach advantage even though he is an inch shorter than Lewis. Weidman shouldn't even be allowed to fight anymore....

That is rare for our guy to have reach advantage.

I tend to agree with you on Weidman. Didn't realize he was on such a bad slide..

Many youtube comments on the Chandler TKO are saying he "took a dive", I assume this is due to ignorance of fighting and this type of whinging often happens whenever a fight has a racially incorrect ending.

In the main fight if oleinik would have just been able to survive and dodge bombs for the first 30 seconds or so of round 2 I feel he cruises to a victory. He did a good job of taking some steam out of the big lard in round 1 and would have been able to out wrestle him shortly after the 2nd wind was gone.
