I would have thought the obvious answer would be...INjURIES. And intelligence.

Favre is the Cal Ripken of the NFL, McNabb has been injured several times. Favre didn't choke in the Super Bowl, either.

This afternoon I tuned in to a local sports talk show hosted by two clowns. In speaking of the Packers-Eagles game tomorrow, they gave the edge to Philly because they had -THE ULTIMATE WEAPON - which was McNabb! I couldn't believe it. The ultimate weapon??Sportswriters, announcers, and talk show hosts are disgusting dinks.

McNabb is damn good though. Favre has been struggling lately with bad offenses and play calling, but has had a brilliant career. Both Favre and McNabb are good at throwing on the run. McNabb is a better scrambler and tends to throw less interceptions, but his career completion percentage is slightly lower. Both of them throw a lot of TD's. But Heck Farve should break the all time record.

And yes McNabb doesn't have a Superbowl ring, but he just might get one soon with Kevin Curtis's help.

I love Curtis, but hate the Eagles, so I cancel that happy face.

one big difference is that Favre is some boring white guy who is quietly and humbly competent, and has been for many years, where as Mcnabb is black and therefore more exciting.

Favre will get into the HOF because his skills are undeniable.

McNabb might get there too, but he'll have an easier time because the media wants to make more out of him than he really is.

There are probably lots of white QBs who can play like McNabb, but the media wants
McNabb to be a star so they'll pump him up for the world.

Well, if you want to see the difference between the two, I'd say tune into today's game between the Igles and the Packers. Favre just made two miraculous, clutch plays while in the grasp of Eagle's defenders. One a shuffle pass to a rookie fullback, and the other to a receiver a bit downfield. Surprisingly, both guys caught the ball and gained some big yards.

McNabb attempted something similar, but alas, his black wide receiver couldn't hang onto the ball.

i've never been a big fan of Brett Favre, but any comparison between those two players that doesn't end up with Brett getting the favorable advantage is completely ridiculous.

Favre will earn his way into the Hall of Fame and McNabb will token his way to the Hall of Fame. That's the biggest difference right there after the Super Bowl Ring and the ability to stay on the field for a full season. Don't forget to mention that Bret Favre doesn't get tired in big games and starts puking his guts out like McNabb did in the Super Bowl. Edited by: guest301

I heard a radio guy, Freddie Coleman (who sounds black; I don't know who he is), say that the Packers-Eagles game last Sunday was a match between "two future Hall-Of-Fame QBs."

Is McNabb really a H-o-F candidate? He's better than average. At times he is very good. But really, H-o-F? A white guy with his resume doesn't even get nominated!

Compare McNabb's career stats to Brad Johnson's among others who are considered "journeymen". Then tell me the media isn't kissing his arse.

I put a post together that reviewed McNabb's career quarterback rating to other 'name' quarterbacks who have more than 100 games. McNabb's rating is right there with Brad Johnson, Jeff Garcia, Mark Brunell, and many other quarterbacks who were considered 'good,' but never 'great.'

Garcia and Brunell match up closely with McNabb, but they will never have a chance at the HOF. There will be a big push for McNabb, you can bank on it.Edited by: Bart

Yeah, I'm well aware of McNabb's true standing as compared to the image created by the media, and all the undeserved attention and praise he's received in proportion to what he's accomplished. Picture Johnson on the front of Madden football like McNabb or Vick, neither of whom had done anything at the time - and this was just a small part of the attention and accolades they were getting.
