Josh Giddey won the Western Conference Rookie of the Month for 4 months in a row before getting injured.

You'd think that would put him in contention for the NBA All-Rookie team? Nope!

He got named in the NBA All-Rookie second team despite leading all NBA rookies in assists per game, ranked second in rebounds, and seventh in points.

I hope Giddey takes this with anger and turns that passion into proving the haters and skeptics wrong again. I believe he has all star ability in the future. He has to get a
little stronger but the skills are already there. That sucks he didn't make nba rookie first team. He should have been there.

Giddey has been given plenty of credit from actual players if not the award voters.

Let's not forget in this thread that Franz Wagner did win a spot on the first team. Franz can ball, too!

If Orlando selects Chet Holmgren with the #1 pick in the upcoming draft, they'll have two consecutive white lottery picks to build around. If they pass for some reason, Oklahoma City can take Holmgren at #2 and build around him and Giddey. With this in mind, it was a pretty sweet draft lottery the other night!

Missing 30 games really hurt him unfortunately.
