He will be starting his second game of the season tonight, and will look to go to 2-0 as QB for the Colts in 2005, in the annual battle with Pillow Academy called the Napkin Bowl.

Lee beat Pillow 33-7, behind Jesse Spinks 4 TD passes! I hope Jesse will keep this great start to the season up and get a scholarship offer from a big D1 school.

Jesse leads the Colts into their first home game against North Delta tonight. This will be probably the toughest game they will have all season. Caste Football will have a person there tonight who I will get all the details from.

Jesse and the 2A Colts had another stellar performance last night, winning against a 3A powerhouse in North Delta. Jesse threw 4 more TD passes, which brings his Season total to 12TD's in 3 games! Our man on the scene said the North Delta radio crew talked about how Jesse is "the real deal." Lee should have a couple more real tests later in the season against a couple of 3A teams, but if Jesse keeps this kind of play up, he will get some serious looks from schools like Ole Miss. Lee's QB a few years ago was being recruited heavily by Ole Miss until he broke his leg during his Senior year. Let's hope Jesse keeps up the great play and gets offers from some SEC schools.

Jesse threw for 1 TD last night in a 25-20 loss to AAA power Heritage. The game wasn't as close as the score looks, according to our man on the scene.

Jesse Spinks set a school record for passing attempts Friday night against Heritage Academy. He attempted 48 passes and completed 20 of them for 211 yards and 1 interception his second of the year.

Things would have been better if the Colts had not given up on their running game so early in the contest. The coaches were intent on airing it out and it cost them, because the running plays worked fairly well and they never went to the run all the way.

The loss didn't hurt the Colts division record as Heritage is a Academy AAA school from Columbus, Mississippi.

Lee Academy has an open week this week.

Jesse Spinks and Lee Academy defeated Carrol Academy Friday night 48-12. Jesse Spinks set a new school record for touchdown passes with 6. Two went to speedy Mark Noland, two to Deninger Cobb, and two to Bo Crumpton.

Mark Noland is a senior speedster who is about as good as Spinks at all sports they play, which includes football, basketball, track, and baseball. Both are special players.

Jesse had 227 yards, going 14 for 25 with 3 TD's in a 48-21 win over Bayou Academy in Cleveland, Miss. I have heard that he has been getting letters from some schools in the South. Keep it up Jesse!

Jesse and the Colts play Washington Academy this week. This will be a challenge for him, so if he does well, he will have really worked for it. This is always an intense game for both teams.

Jesse plays at Marshall Academy tomorrow night. He should have a big night and a big win, and hopefully the big schools will be calling more and more.

Jesse plays against a tough Indianola Academy team tonight. This will be #3 Lee against #4 IA. I hope Jesse throws 4 TD's. He is 129 of 215 for 2033 yards and 29 TD passes this season going into this game. His main receiver, Mark Noland has 814 yards on 43 catches already. An average of 18.93 YPC! This is some kind of combo, especially for a team that just went to a passing game during the last 5 years.

Lee beat IA 33-12 last night. Jesse Spinks had 4 TD throws and is heading into the last week with a WR, Mark Noland, closing in on a 1,000 yard receiving year. Mark caught all 4 TD's from Jesse last night. Jesse plays defense too, and got a nice interception last night.

Lee plays Kirk tonight, with Jesse being 214 yards away from breaking his 2004 record and school record for passing yards, which is 2,505. He needs 16 completions to break that record. I think he will get it. Mark Noland is 2 yards away from being the first 1,000 yard receiver in Lee Academy history. He currently has 1,746 all purpose yards this season! They should have home field advantage through the playoffs, beginning next week.

Well, Jesse threw 3 TD's last night, upping his total to 36 for the season. Mark Noland caught one, and went way over 1,000 yards receiving on the year. Lee beat Kirk 34-20. Now Jesse and the Colts will be playing in the AA playoffs on November 11.

Jesse Spinks threw a 3 more TD's tonight, even with a swollen throwing hand! He was stepped on in a defensive drill practice earlier in the week. He is also Lee's starting Cornerback. He led Lee to its first playoff win since 1994! They beat Winston 40-16. Jesse has gotten football offers from Delta State University (D2)and the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff (I-AA). He wants to play baseball more than football at the college level, but my sources say he will probably sign with a big school if offered a football scholarship, and then he will try to play both sports.

Next week Lee (10-1), will play at home again, with a chance to be the first Lee team to win 2 or more playoff games since the 1989 team went to the State Championship game. They will be playing against (9-2) Simpson Academy. Good luck Colts!Edited by: Colonel_Reb

Sadly, Lee's season came to an end last night, with a 12-7 loss against Simpson. Jesse Spinks and his "playmaker" Mark Noland, will both be playing in the MPSA all-star game in Jackson on December 8 at 6:00PM at Mississippi College. Good luck to both of them in their college careers!

Jesse had 190 yards rushing in that last playoff game! He also finished #1 in the state among private school quarterbacks in all divisions in passing on the year! Way to go!

Jesse Spinks had an awesome year. He will be a quarterback the Lee faithful will never forget. Jesse is a special athlete. He scored thirty four points in a basketball game this week. He starts on the basketball team, won a state track title last year, won a state cross country title this fall, and plays baseball. He starts every sport he plays. He is some kinda special.

Jesse has not signed with anyone yet. I doubt they made him a good offer. He may go somewhere as a walk on, but he could try to play baseball instead. It's a shame a record setting QB can't get a decent offer from any Division 1 schools.
