Were it not for his unfortunate position, Eagles FB Jed Collins would be getting more press. As a rookie UDFA, he has made a run at the starting job in Philadelphia.
This means a couple things. Most teams keep one fullback on the active roster. Therefore, two people will be cut. The black incumbent, Jason Davis was, of course, the front-runner in the offseason. Then, the Eagles signed HB/FB Luke Lawton and signed Collins.
So assuming Collins makes the team, one would think that Davis would be PS'd and Lawton would be cut. Or vice versa. Or Lawton makes the squad as a STer.
Just an interesting battle to watch. I certainly wish Jedidiah the best, but I would like to see me some Luuuuuuuke!
