The USA World Cup team really got a lucky roll of the dice for a change in being in the same draw with England,Slovenia and Algeria. The top two teams advance in each pool and the USA team is ranked far higher than Slovenia and Algeria. England is tough and the drama of playing them in the first match and Galaxy teammates Beckham and Landon Donovan going at it will be fun to watch. I expect the USA team to at least get to the quaterfinals, anything less is a disappointment and failure.

Yea, The US should go through. I doubt Beckham will play much, even if he makes the team and that is not a certainty. But if I had to guess, I think he will make it.

I've just been listening to English radio and they are ecstatic about the draw. I don't understand why everyone is writing off the Slovenians. OK they won't win the World Cup but they are better than people think. They qualified ahead of the Czechs then they put Russia out. They are capable of pulling off an upset.

Those former Yugoslavia countries have pretty good teams, Sebia is good. Croatia is good. But,none of slovenia's players play in their country which I can't stand. They are busy in France, Italy, England, even Israel. You wanted you own country now stay in it. Those smaller Eastern European countries should get together and form maybe 3 leagues with a couple divisions. They might not be able to play in the winter but they will have more money to spend on their players with a bigger population.
