Donald Cowboy Cerrone got ko'd in round 1 last night vs Gaethje in Vancouver. Cerrone is a good fighter but has taken too many head shots that have hurt him badly in his career. If you clip his chin he goes down. Don't get me wrong I love watching this dude fight but fear for his brain long term.

Thoughts?

Agreed. Great Fighter, it's a shame he never won a Title and given his recent losses it will likely never happen. Still a legend in the sport.

Gaethje however, is the real deal. Been on an absolute tear last couple years.

Cerrone can still make some money and have big fights against the likes of Poirier, Edgar, Diego Sanchez and maybe even Maia or Askren at 170. That being said, his championship-run days are over. I hear he is a free spender so hope he is saving some money in the twilight of his career.

Cerrone has been known to be free spender for a long time. When Cerrone had his career resurgence a few years ago, I was hoping he would start saving. Maybe his young son will change his ways.

Cerrone has said that he was going to do the reverse of most people. He will spend money and have fun while young, then work when he is old.

There is a rumour of a Donald Cerrone or Justin Gaethje vs Conor McGregor fight for early next year. The UFC should pay Cerrone in stocks and bonds instead of cash.
