It's not right how before the fight Abdukakhorov was ranked number 1 with the IBF and was mandatory for ages (somehow Spence never got forced to face him or stipped of the title!) . Crowley beats him, yet is now only ranked 14th by the IBF (Abdukakhorov now 15th). Surely Crowley with this win should have taken his high ranking!

Yes.

This is an example of the sport of boxing still being racist against whites.

I’m sure this is one of the methods they use to prevent their favorite top guys from having to fight and potentially lose to guys like Crowley. If you keep a guy pigeon holed down the rankings he never gets the opportunity to fight guys like Spence. I’m not a fan of welterweight and haven’t been for years. The division get marketed as the pinnacle of skill in boxing but that’s just nonsense. If the top ten guys were all white it wouldn’t be receiving any attention at all.

There is validity to welterweights and middleweights being known as the premier skills divisions.

I do though agree, that if each division was dominated by Whites, it would receive no attention by the media.

Canelo vs GGG I and II was marketed as the premiere fight of the year, but Canelo isn't marketed as White or even a White Latino (which he obviously is). GGG while Eurasian has way too much hate for a Eurasian as the average DWF doesn't understand what the people are or know about the dozens of ethnic groups that populate Russia and the old Soviet republics.

True that Cancel isn't marketed as White but, even most DWFs recognize that he is White.. He's a ginger after all so it's hard to hide. And highlights that Whites when given a fair opportunity excel at boxing.

147 is such a political, corrupt division. Crowley and Stanionis should have got their deserved shots by now

Definitely a good win but damn, Crowley consistently leaves himself open for counters. Gonna be tough to take top spot and defend it against Crawford and Spence if he ever gets the chance. But he’s got the skill set and the mentality to get there it seems.

Cody had an unorthodox beginning...https://ufc.ru/news/origin-cody-crowley
