I believe Zane Dudek got an offer from Kent State. I googled " Zane Dudek offers" and a link from pittsburg sports now mentioned it but I couldn't find an actual article about it. But it looks like good news.

Dudek was named Pennsylvania's Class 5A player of the year. An article in today's paper mentions this and how another RB from this area, a black one, won player of the year for his classification. The black player will attend Penn State, where if he performs well he'll have a shot at the NFL. Dudek chose Yale, which means he has no chance of ever playing in the NFL.

This would be a great story for some intuitive sports journalist to delve into and write a feature on. It's a shame none of those exist though and they all adhere to the caste system. I feel badly for Dudek, one would think that McCaffrey could change the minds of at least some of the recruiters and head coaches in college football. I guess not though and the running back position will continue to have mediocre black players monopolize the position.

So Yale it is, my neck of the woods. I will keep an eye on him. I know it is tough for Ivy League guys but some make it in the NFL. Like I said in an earlier post I hope he blows up, makes it to the NFL and makes Penn State trending caste turd head coach Franklin look like a fool. Huge prospect from Pennsylvania and no offer from Penn State that is some crazy stuff. Also Leo mentions McCaffrey and I believe his coattails might take some time depending on how he performs in the NFL. I suspect we will start seeing a slight increase in running backs for power schools in the next three years but I see no sign of white cornerback movement and the wide receiver situation is on thin ice as we go forward.

The WR position is unfortunately the best of all the skill positions. We see a decent number of white walk ons or under-recruited players that go to MAC/MWC etc. schools and make an impact with the occasional gem breaking through at a bigger school.

No question for me the best and most exciting position in football is WR which is why I live and die each week on the performances of white wide receivers. I judge a draft on how many white WR's were chosen which is why I will never get over the Ryan Swope ordeal as he was slotted to become the next deep threat ala Jordy. Jordy is easily my favorite current NFL player. In baseball it is centerfield and of course Mike Trout is my favorite baseball player. I love some of the fast white TE's we see in the NFL now ( Kelce being my current favorite) but they are no substitute for the REAL THING. Some of the greatest athletes of all time were WR's. Don Hutson ( before our time ) and Lance Alworth ( before a lot of our members time) are considered two of the greatest wide outs in history if not the greatest. In college over the years the running back issue has been muted somewhat by the fact that some white college QB's essentially perform like running backs and a classic example is one of my favorites Eric Crouch. Sadly in the NFL white running backs have faded from view. The CB position has been pretty much barren all over though. In terms of importance for me behind WR's I would list RB's and CB's and perhaps a QB with great wheels ala Steve Young as next on the ladder but I still love fast free safeties, disruptive rangy LB's and edge rushers too.

Every year there are good White high school running backs in Western Pennsylvania, and Pitt and Penn State never recruit them. At best an occasional White WR will be recruited, but only a very tiny fraction of the good ones who could be recruited. This area is super hard-core Caste, from the DWFs to the media to the recruitment of the college programs. And the many college and NFL head coaches from this area are just as bad (Cowher, Wannstedt & Co.), with the exception of Mike Ditka. Lots of White QBs and o-linemen are recruited, but just about any other position, forget it despite there always being dominant high school teams that are overwhelmingly White. Not any different from just about everywhere else, but that doesn't make it any less infuriating.

Sadly it seems the same in Louisville maybe even worse, and Probably the majority of other big cities...

DB Mitchell West de-commits from Purdue after coaching change. Will re-open his recruitment. Bad move. For a White player, especially with an offer at a caste position like DB, and especially at a Power 5 school, a-bird-in-the-hand is always better than two-in-the-bush. Best of luck to him, though.

Yeah that's a real head scratcher.. I just looked him up. He's got 5 other offers but they're all at FCS level. He does have an offer from powerhouse North Dakota St. though so if he ends up there it would be a great fit. In a fair world West should have some more high profile offers from just about every MAC school and in state schools like Northwestern and Illinois would be all over him..

BUMP!!!!
**** He added an offer from New Mexico and Navy since decomitting from Purdue. Looks like his interest is slowly picking up.

WR/CB Sam Delany plays in one of the better HS football conferences in Wisconsin, is headed to Madison as preferred walk-on. 5'11 170 speedster with 4.5 speed is a big play threat. His first 3 plays on his Hudl highlights are TDs scored from 80yards, 60yds, and 54yds out! Be interesting to see him develop at UW.

Ridiculous! UW lands 6'6 300lb OL in-state walk-on!! 10th in state pale face they've added for their 2017 class, an astonishing number.

Scott Nelson is A white safety out of Detroit, that has been offered by just about every Big Ten team no this is not a typo. He's6'2 175 and 247 sports has his 40 listed at 4.5 flat! His top 5 schools right now consist of Iowa, Michigan St., Northwestern, Penn St., and Wisconsin. Not sure if he's been brought up before but even so worth another mention.

I was hoping he would pick Iowa, but I'll take it. Now we'll await WR Oliver Martin's choice. I'm hoping he chooses Iowa.

I'm hoping he stays a safety! Last 2 white safeties Badgers have recruited have been moved to LB! Keep us posted on Oliver!

I know, and in your linked article it indicates there's a chance he'll be moved to WR. I hope he stays at Safety as there was a story I read a few weeks back where his high school coach said it was like having another coach on the field back there. I wish these coaches would keep the players they recruit at the dominant position they played in high school. Why force them to learn a whole other position if it's not necessary?

Hey guys, been a reader for a while but thought I'd ask about a couple kids (white safeties) that I've seen play and seem to have what it takes to play at a really high level.

Jack Koerner

John Mahoney

What am I missing on these kids? Both were first team all staters and have the size and athleticism to play at the highest levels.
