Well, we aren't ahead in our game right now, but we are playing a white RB, strangely enough, in for a suspended samoan/hawaiian, Fahu Tahi, who is our 2'nd string back. The guy who is playing for him is Joe Semanoff. He had 1 carry for 6 yards at the half, and 2 catches for 25 yards and a TD! I hope I get to see him more this year. He's just a Sophomore, and he's already served a mission, so he should be here for 2 more years.

Go Cougars.Man do I miss the team from a few years ago that only lost 1 game all year.Staley was running wild and they passed the ball at will. It's good to see the Cougs heading in the right direction.I might just have to fly up there and see a game sometime.Go BYU.

Well, BYU pulled out a nice comeback win against New Mexico, 27-24! New Mexico's quarterback is one running and passing machine though. That was a good win over a team that was supposed to beat us. We needed that. Now we are 2-3, with CSU coming to town for Homecoming next week. I can't wait! Johnny Harline finished with 10 catches for 128 yards. Matt Allen had 2 catches for 39 yards and a TD. My favorite player, Nathan Meikle, had 3 catches for 20 yards. John Beck was 33/43 for 375 yards, 3TD's and 1 Int. Not a bad night at all!

Don Wassall writes: "If the Elders do have another "vision," it could go a long way toward leading a desperately needed white revival in America."

Mr. Wassall, with all due respect, you seem to be either misinformed or ignorant about Mormonism. Due to its bizarre theories, the mormon cult has found it virtually impossible to draw converts from the general population. Therefore, they have resorted to bringing in large numbers of Polynesians (Samoans, Tongans, native Hawaiians, etc.) in order to puff up their numbers. Virtually all of their growth is non-White. There is an LDS ward near Atlanta that has a large numbers of "members" from Ghana. (Just goes to show that non-Whites will go ANYWHERE to get a handout). There are boatloads of Mestizo mormons.

The mormons are driven by one motivation: money. And they'll take it from whomever will give it to them, regardless of race.

I've said it before, Mormons are the exception to the White-is-right rule.

Mormontheory is to make up a religion in order to make money and practice polygamy. These guys totally stole the idea from the muslim.

What I wrote was: "I've always admired the Mormons for their ability to work together as a community while also prospering individually."

I wasn't endorsing the religion, only the ability of white Mormons to work together, unlike other whites. The "vision" remark was made more tongue in cheek than as a serious statement.

I'm fully aware of the Third World recruiting, and also of the "different" aspects of Mormonism. I'm not a Mormon but neither do I condemn the LDS. All the mainstream Christian denominations engage in money grubbing, and none are coming remotely close to responding in needed ways to the spiritual degradation that has overtaken our country. Please remember the posting guidelines. This forum is not going to engage in Mormon bashing.

I see things I like about them, including how they work together. There are also things I don't like, including deceit. I will support their football team though, as long as they are against the tide of the Caste System. Their team's roster is only about 60% mormon. This isn't a whole lot different from the University of Utah. The state as a whole is only about 62% mormon now as well, because so many people have moved here from other states.

Interesting factoids about Mormons:

The person most responsible for the invention of electronic television was Philo T. Farnsworth, who had the idea for rasters while plowing a field in Idaho as a sixteen year old. Had hundreds of patents. He was largely forgotten (appeared on 'What's My Line?' and was awarded $20 and a carton of cigarettes for stumping the panel) until Utah schoolchildren started a campaign to raise funds to erect a statue of him in the U.S. Capitol building (each state is allowed two statues).

The first Chairman of the Federal Reserve was LDS.

Very overrepresented in the mutual fund industry, the FBI, and the CIA.

Evelyn Wood, inventor of the speed reading course.

And so forth. Which lends credence to the idea with enough Whites, of any belief system, just about anything can happen.

Well, BYU ended up going down hard against Notre Dame. Some positive notes though: TE Johnny Harline had 1 TD and another 100 yard game, on only 8 catches, leading the team. The annoucers talked about how he is more of a WR than a TE. My favorite Cougar, Nathan Meikle had 1 catch for 8 yards and 4 PR for 47 yards. Beck had a good day except for the pick he threw to Tom Zbikowski, and what a run back for Tom! I can't say I was upset.

The Cougars won what turned into a defensive no-show, 62-41. Air Force's offense really turned it on in the 4'th Quarter. BYU QB John Beck threw for 383 yards and 3 TD's, and was 31-43 with one tipped INT. My favorite player, Nathan Meikle had an awesome reverse run for a 12 Yard TD!

On the negative side, while I was watching the game on tv, the announcers kept talking about DeBerry's comments and how they aren't able to recruit the kind of "speed" they need. One announcer did this right after saying he "wasn't going to go there" refering to DeBerry's TCU comments. As soon as he said that, the crappy jerk went there. These guys make me sick! I literally wanted to throw up or either splinter my remote into the screen!
smiley7.gif
Then they put the icing on the cake by saying TCU brings "speed" to the MWC, speed from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Now, because of this they said, the MWC will be able to recruit "speed" from that area because TCU is on TV there. What a pile of horsefeathers! No doubt though, people will pick up on it and start looking southeast for darker recruits. I think TCU coming into this conference could be the death knell for the white skill players that are still prevalent in this conference.

TE Johnny Harline had 5 cathes for 76 yards. Matt Allen had 4 catches for 38 yards. Nathan Meikle also had 3 PR for 12 yards, in addition to the 12 yard TD run I mentioned earlier.

BYU had a good night tonight, with TE Johnny Harline getting 4 catches for 28 yards and 2 TD's. WR Zac Collie had 1 TD and 2 catches for 15 yards. QB John Beck went 20-29 for 178 yards and 2 TD's and also had 6 rushes for 63 yards. BYU is now 6-4 and will be playing Utah next week for a 7-4 record and a trip to a better bowl game.

BYU will be playing a Utah team without its starting QB, but I think the backup Brett Ratliff will do a pretty good job. Utah's best reciever, is out too, and I think that will have a bigger impact on the game. BYU has a few guys who won't be playing either, but I think the Cougars will improve to 7-4 and go to either the Emerald Bowl, the San Diego County Credit Union
Poinsettia Bowl, the Pioneer PureVision Las Vegas Bowl, or maybe the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, but I doubt the Liberty because it has been years since they took a 7-4 team. I predict our bowl game will be west of Provo.

BYU had a tough 41-34 OT loss to Utah at home today. It was a very exciting game though, and BYU had some notable performers. John Beck was 27-47 for 309 and 2 TD's. He also ran for 10 yards and caught his own pass for 3 yards. That was one of the craziest plays I have ever witnessed. The pass hit the ref in the back and it bounced over toward Beck who ran 3 yards with it!

Johnny Harline had 4 catches for 46 yards. He was being covered up most of the game, as he has been the biggest passing weapon the last few weeks.

Matt Allen had 3 catches for 39 yards and a TD.

Nathan Meikle had 2 for 25, 1 run, and a nice 20 yard punt return that set BYU up in scoring position in the 4'th quarter.

Luke Ashworth also made a timely appearance with a beautiful diving 19 yard reception inside the 10 yard line during the 4'th quarter!

Hopefully, the nation will get to see these guys play together one more time in a few weeks.

BYU will be playing in the Las Vegas Bowl on December 22 at 5PM Pacific Time on ESPN. The opponent is a yet to be determined PAC-10 team. Congrats to the Cougars for making it to a bowl game.

BYU gives whites good representation. The
Mormons can run. Maybe its a western thing. Where did Kevin
Curtis go? What is Nate Soelberg's future?

I see Curtis went to Utah State. Still, the Mormons' traditions,
which are employed at BYU seem to translate into athleticism.

Daniel Hansen is the only white RB I see on the roster and he hasn't played. Bryan
Kariya looks mixed race. Wayne Meikel has had a few carries but that is it. So few white RBs at the amateur game's
most treasured position. Harline could be really awesome in the
NFL.. Jeremy Shock</span></span>ey II here we come. Nice catch!!!
