Black Voting Patterns-Question

I got into a fairly intense discussion last night with a group of white male friends from my church at a party and the subject of blacks marching in lockstep with the Democrat party in general and black politicians in particular came up. When I cited such things as 90% of blacks vote Democrat and 94% of blacks voted for Obama as evidence of a black "group think" and that other minorities don't have such extremely high percentages attached to their voting patterns. I was basically told by two of the guys that I was wrong about my facts and that exit polls are always wrong even though I never even mentioned exit polls.
The conversation went on and on after that and delved into many different areas but I told them I would do some research on the internet in the next week and bring proof of the facts I spoke to them about in regards to black voting patterns and especially how they vote in masse for one of their own. Can anybody point out to me any specific websites to do this research?

That blacks vote overwhelminglyDemocrat has been a well-known fact for decades; it's difficult to believe anyone would seriously attempt torefute it.

Anyway, search terms like "black voting patterns" or "how blacks vote in elections" or "black vote in presidential elections" and plenty of articles will pop up.

Thanks Don. I already tried the "black voting patterns" and came up with a few things and I will try the other suggestions. In that discussion last night I also brought up the vast differences in black on white crime as oppossed to white on black crime. Those facts did raise a few eyebrows at the table especially when I told them how many white women were raped by black men in 2007.

Point out that DOJ statistics separate Hispanics from whites when counting crime victims, but not perpetrators - in other words a Mexican is considered 'white' when he commits a crime, and 'white' when he is the victim of a crime. This alters the perception of the color of crime even further.

I think blacks only vote for their own if it's a democrat. If it's a black Republican running against a white democrat, they'll vote for the white democrat. Basically, blacks vote democrat unless there is a unique exception. I think Bloomberg from NY got about a 1/3 of the black vote for instance.

dude. seriously. your "friends" are THAT stupid and oblivious to the real world?

i'm gonna go out ona limb here ...

1) these "friends" don't live/work anywhere near large numbers of blacks and their "beautiful culture," and
2) they "believe" in the "wondrous benefits of diversity."

i'm surprised that they didn't throw out the debate-ending "you're a racist" at some point, or that you didn't throw in the "i've got lots of black friends" defense.

as if anyblacks will back up a White "friend" when ol' whitey doesn't give 'em enough stuff. just take a look atwho Condaleeza Rice and Colin Powell endorsed for President, if you think any differently.despite a lifetime of support and career advancement by White"conservatives" throughout their careers, theysure as helldidn't backany conservative candidate.nope, they endorsed the Halfrican-American.

it's amazing how stubbornly liberal Whites believe that traditional, White values and practices will be maintained when non-whites become a non-minority despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. it's been shown already around the globe that it will be open season on us White folks when the numbers of colored folksincrease just a bit more.Edited by: Jimmy Chitwood

dude..JimmyC...pay attention man..I have a feeling you directed this post at ToughJ. I am not from Canada, never have visited either. As far as your comment about stupid friends go, it's hard to pigeonhole people sometimes. Sometimes my church friends can be quite brilliant and insightful and other times I get political correctness out the wazoo, especially about racial matters. Edited by: guest301
