at the start of the season, Miami was an injured Zach Thomas away from fielding a black 22. now it's just a black 20, with Thomas and Joey Harrington being the lone bright spots.

i don't usually post these, but this dumbass takes the cake:

Free agent (formerly Vikings)DL Darrion Scott was formally charged today for allegedly assaulting his son last week.

Scott will face two felony charges and one misdemeanor charge. The boy's mother allegedly found Scott holding a dry cleaning bag over the child's head on April 26. Scott told police the two were playing a game with the bag, and Scott wanted to see if the boy could get the bag off his head by himself.

Cool, and look where that got them. Of course, it was probaly the 2 white players that caused them to lose all of those games. LOL

Yeah, when they finally released this information I just shook my head in amazement. The old, "I wanted to see if the boy could get the bag off his head by himself" excuse.... As if THAT is an acceptable explanation. What I want to know is how in the F does a guy like this make it through Ohio State University? Doesn't extreme stupidity at some point prevent you from passing a course or two? I know football players have tutors and take easy classes, but this isn't Miami we are talking about.

The first thing I would have done as a responding policeman is make the idiot take a piss test. I'm virtually certain he would test positive for narcotics....

Well..... I'm not sure if "Disgrace" is the appropriate term here, but I didn't want to create a new thread to illustrate the utter stupidity of this Viking afflete. Husain Abdullah has to fast, no food or drink (even water) from the 11th of August until Sept 10th, or thereabouts during the daylight hours.

For a football player this is utter foolishness, and I hope that it tanks his performance so that he gets released, but I'm sure that they will "accommodate" his idiocy because of his incredibly upside and the obvious room-brightening smile that is apparent onthe article photo.

Of course, there is always the irony of an "African-American" embracing Islam in spite of the fact that Muhammadans were heavy players in the slave trade.

Ex-Vikings running back jailed in ID theft scheme

Former Minnesota Vikings star running back Michael Bennett has been charged in federal court in Miami alleging that he claimed to be a multimillionaire and committed identity theft in order to falsely obtain a $200,000 loan.

Bennett was nabbed in a federal sting operation that also snagged two fellow ex-NFLers and four others in a separate scheme to swipe identities and file false tax returns for refunds. He was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

Bennett, 33, a first-round draft choice out of Wisconsin in 2001 who played five seasons for the Vikings, is suspected of wire fraud. His best of five seasons with the Vikings was 2002, when he rushed for 1,296 yards. He went on to play for Kansas City, Tampa Bay, San Diego and lastly Oakland.

According to the complaint against the former Viking:

Bennett sought a $200,000 loan on April 18 from an FBI-operated financial services store using a bank statement falsely indicating that he had $9 million in collateral for the loan.

He showed an undercover agent at the store a financial statement in his name with a balance of about $9 million. Bennett signed an agreement and returned Monday to pick up $150,000 of the loan in a cashier's check from the store. When the FBI determined that the statement had been altered, Bennett was arrested immediately and admitted to altering the document.

The other former NFLers implicated are former defensive linemen William Joseph, 32, a first-round draft choice by the New York Giants in 2003, and Louis Gachelin, 31, who broke into the NFL with the New England Patriots in 2004.

Gachelin is charged with identity theft, while Joseph is charged with fraud and theft of government property. They are both natives of south Florida, while Bennett is from Wisconsin.

Bennett and Joseph were teammates with the Raiders in 2010, the last year that both men played.

The U.S. attorney's office in Miami alleged that each defendant was involved in dozens of fraudulently obtained tax refund checks worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Federal sting? I'm on Bennets side in this one. I'm sure he was entrapped or the Fedgov is lying or falsifying evidence.

Former Viking-Darren Sharper's North American Tour continues. While in jail in Los Angeles County he's accumulated more indictments (in Arizona & Louisiana) for aggrevated rape. The recent indictments out of Louisiana charge that Sharper drugged & subsequently sexually assaulted the victim.

In an ironic twist, USA Today reported that Sharper contributed to the book 'NFL Dads Dedicated to Daughters', where Sharper elucidated on teaching young men to treat women respectfully.

Yesterday Darren Sharper was sentenced to 18 years in a Federal pen.. I think he also has been sentenced to concurrent state time on aggrevated rape charges.. I guess he'll have more time now to devote to his writing..

A lot of these black players are hypocrites. They know what to say to the media but what they do is totally different.
