I thought this article on what musical styleswould be predominant if North Americans had not taken part in the slave trade(perhaps a polite way of suggestingno blacks) might be of some interest here.

What? No Islamopunk music? Never mind that music is forbidden in islam.
Blacks made no contribution to music. Our music would have sounded the same.

Rap is Crap...does anybody know of anyone who listens to crappy rap...and they are 60-80 years old?

I have never liked rap music ever since I was a young squirt. Nobody needed to tell me how crappy that form of music is...unless one is born insane in the membrane.

Country and folk music (50's-70's, and maybe some of 80's) are some of the BEST ever. I even enjoy classical music (ala Sebastian Bach, Beethoven, etc..), black music is really tribal music. Even crappy rap has it's tribal origins.

Yes rap totally blows. Everyone knows it too, but it's the big elephant in the room that keeps it propped up. IMHO, rap, at least of the "gangsta" variety, jumped the shark around 2001/02. You don't see too many hardcore rap songs in the top 40s these days as you did back then. Most rappers like Jay Z are doing remakes of songs like Forever Young. Most big hip hop songs are really just hybrid pop songs, like stuff Lil Wayne makes, which the brothas on the street hate and think their boys "sold out." The stuff about bustin caps in white boys @ss, hustlin crack, and pimpin out hos is on the decline. I think the cats out of the bag, especially when the top selling musician is Taylor Swift and her love songs that prominently feature white guys, notwithstanding her ridiculous feigned rap with T-Payne.
