You are ahead of the curve lol

Mertz needs to take a big step this year. Great to see Leonhard starting two White safeties.

Ha, their lineup seemed pretty set in stone going into summer camp. Figured knock it out right away.

Agreed on Mertz, supposedly new OC Bobby Engram is going to open it up a bit more. See how it works out. Badgers should easily be 3-0 heading into their Week 4 showdown at Ohio State..

Wisconsin is predicted to finish 1st in Big Ten West. Iowa second like every other year lol.

They've got Ohio State and Michigan 1,2 in the East.

It’s to bad they don’t have a white fullback this year. Chenal should have came back for his senior season.

Watch out for the Michigan Wolverines as one article I read said they had one of the easiest schedules in the country. If that's true they along with usually being a good team will fight for the title. Of course I would
much rather see Wisconsin or Iowa win the Title and the National Championship.

Bit of bad news here.. Hunter Wohler injured his knee and is out for a while. Kamoi Latu(Poly obviously) and Preston Zachman (overachiever) will split reps at SS for time being.

Wild news! Chryst is out, Leonhard taking over as HC!

I liked Chryst initially but he's 15-10 over last 25 with some ugly losses to Northwestern, Notre Dame, Indiana, Ohio State 2x, and Michigan. Not to mention Washington St and Illinois this season.

Beat me to it @Bucky

I don't want to get to enthusiastic but knowing Jim Leonhard's whole history I hope that he is committed to the Wisconsin way. His defenses have been solid but offensively they are not getting the job done. Really hope he recruits the right way and remembers the difficulties he faced as a White athlete. Cautiously optimistic about this.

I honestly don't know what to expect, but am glad UW pulled the plug on Chryst. No idea how Leonhard will do, but at least Wisconsin is trying to not go the David Shaw/Stanford route into obscurity.

Also Wisconsin has fallen to 56th in the country for recruiting.. Down there with Power 5Cellar Dwellers Colorado and Georgia Tech! Not good enough! Chryst also struggled getting any of his Top 5 QB prospects. By all accounts recruits/players; Black and White, like Leonhard.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over yet expecting different results. I'm glad they made the move. I'm excited
for the future. Maybe Iowa might do something similar. Expand the playbook and think outside the box.

True. Leonhard was one of those first players I remember during my Caste awakening in the early 2000s so I've always been a fan. I hope he doesn't end up disappointing.

Stanford with Shaw is a trainwreck. He has a talented QB and seems intent on destroying him. Going away from a formula that made a program successful makes no sense.

Cautiously optimistic. I have hope though. He has stockpiled White Safeties.

Rumors around Lance Leipold returning to Wisconsin to take the job. Not good news if it turns out to be true.

Yeah we'll see. Once Kansas comes back down to earth and Leonhard wins out rest of the season.

Rumor has it that Fickell will move on to Wisconsin. Bad move. Get ready for a darkening of the program and non-White QBs moving forward.

Not happy. Big deal he dominated a crappy conference at Cincinnati. Was average 6-7 when he was Buckeyes interim coach. Wisconsin fanbase is pretty split on this. People really love JL, if this is true. Wisconsin's run of fairness to Whitey is over. GB already demolished theirs a few years ago.

The DWFs however are delighted.. They believe we'll be a Top offense now.

Leonhard should have been the choice. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. He is easily one of the top defensive coordinators in college football.

Classless move by Wisconsin. They screwed over Leonhard who had turned down NFL offers in order to stay and be next HC! Sad day for the state of Badgers Football.

Agreed. Sad day for one of the caste hold outs.

Jim Leonard is being retained in his role as DC, joining Fickell's new staff. This could very easily be a temporary thing if Green Bay's DC role opens up in January. In the meantime, he'll have a couple more months to recruit for his alma mater.

Luke Fickell also stayed on Ohio State's staff after getting passed over as an interim coach.

Very happy they retained Leonhard!
