Since 2005 white starters are 5,5,4,5,6,7,7,7,7,8,7,5,6,5, 5 and 4 in 2019. In 2020 they are projected to start 6.

The Hokies have been consistent to say the least. I believe Red Raider brought the position transition for freshman Jack Hollifield from LB to OL to the attention of this site. One of the more bizarre caste moves I can recall as Hollifield could have transferred to DE rather than OL. He was a very productive LB in HS.

Players to look out for: QB Knox Kadum, QB Connor Blumrick, TE Nick Gallo, DT Max Philpott, S Tyler Matheny

Better OL than usual.

Moving the Younger Hollifield to OL really is infuriating though.. Makes zero sense, besides Caste System.

Also kind of nice to see Va Tech with a honkey QB.

Perhaps New HC Brent Pry will move the younger Hollifield back to Defense! He seems to have more sense than Caste Ho Justin Fuente. He sees 6'5 265 4Star TE Gunner Givens as a DE!

A QB to monitor for Va Tech in 2022 - QB Grant Wells (transfer from Marshall):

Virginia Tech beat writer Mike Niziolek reports Virginia Tech redshirt sophomore QB Grant Wells had a strong outing in the team's spring game.
According to Niziolek, Wells gave his team an early 17-0 lead in a shortened 12 minute first quarter. Wells went 11-of-21 passing for 184 yards and two scores, with three of his completions going for 25 or more yards. He also found wide receiver Kaleb Smith for a 47-yard touchdown down the sideline. Fellow transfer QB Jason Brown reportedly struggled on the day, going 4-of-11 passing for 13 yards before being replaced in the second half.
